Our flagship American IPA highlights the distinctively aromatic Australian Galaxy hop. The nose bursts with pine, citrus rind, melon and pineapple. Pronounced flavors of peach, clementine, and tropical fruits are accentuated with moderate bitterness and balanced by a light, biscuity malt character.

This even starts extraordinarily. The cracking open of a pint can releases a pronounced aroma of hoppy bitterness and an equal amount of sweet starches. It looks good, too. No excessive foam here, only a modest just-off-white head was created when the entire contents of a pint can were emptied into a clear glass liter mug. The color of the brew is darkly lemon-amber, dull and seriously opaque. The mouthfeel is fine. Its taste is sharply citrusy in its hoppy bitterness, yet it's rich and there are plenty of other nuances, mainly with resinous notes. Its shortcoming is the lack of depth to the backing starch body, something that often happens when wheat is added to barley malt. It's a shame, because a little more barley malt probably would have given a deeper, more earthy counterbalance to make a very nicely full flavored beer. The almost total absence of glass lacing belies its body, but hurts the look. An interesting aspect of this one is that the hop bite hits hardest upfront, then it becomes less pronounced as the brew ends with a wetter finish. This is a little more barley malt away from nearly excellent, but don't fix something that's certainly not broken.

Pineapple and melon hits your nose while the dense pale gold fills the glass, leaving heavy lacing while sipped. Its soft mouthfeel is inviting, drinking with gentle flavors of earthy grain and a pleasant, palate cleansing pine note
