A refreshingly hoppy American pale ale, Itty Bitty Goose is another edition in our "Small Bird Series" of lower ABV pale ales. The nose is an ripe apricot, lemon, and lightly toasted malt. Citrus peel and grassy hop flavors fill the palate and ends in a soft yet crisp mouthfeel. Dry and effervescent, light to medium bodied.

MALT: American 2-row Barley, Malted Triticale from Valley Malt, Flaked Oats, Dextrine, C-15

HOPS: Amarillo, El Dorado, CTZ

16oz can purchased from the fridge as single for $5.25. Canned on 09/02/25, so this beer is exactly 11 weeks old.

Look: Fairly hazy yellowish orange hue, but not opaque. There was a rocky whitish head of about two fingers tall that dissipated to a thin ring. It looks like it has soft carbonation judging by the fine bubbles. The appearance became opaque and very hazy after I poured the bottom half of the can.

Smell: Nice citrus and tropical fruit aromas with orange zest, orange juice, pineapple, blueberries. I also get an orange creamsicle note. Slightly peppery/green finish. Chalky, vitamin notes that seemed to blow off somewhat. Overall, the aroma is a bit muted.

Taste: It's very pleasant and fairly easy drinking. Nice juicy citrus notes. The finish has a very mild bitterness with a bit of green notes. Overall, it's tasty but not super exciting.

Feel: Medium minus bodied. Nice soft, fluffy mouthfeel.

Overall: Tasty, solid. Not much to write home about in my opinion.

What? A non-Hazy (at least not too much) and actually bitter APA by Trillium? Are they okay? This is a fairly tasty brew that is fairly light on the body and aromas, but it punches you in the face with an awesome bitter flavor profile that is actually quite enjoyable.

Dated 6/17/19 on the bottom of the can, 2.5 weeks since brewing.

Pours a hazy pale gold with some light passing through; finger and a half of big bubbled white head. Nose of orange peel, lilac, sweet florals, ever so slight lime, brown bread and ruby grapefruit. Taste follows the nose however a little bit mellowed out. I get some some additional lemon, slight honeydew melon and sweet pine after tasting. Wonderful balanced flavors and bright citrus for a 5% brew. Body is light, almost watery with prickly carbonation; leaving a little bit of minerality/water nerdiness at the end. Low bitterness, low+ sweetness, almost no drying. Easy to drink several of these without even thinking about it.

Pours a lightly cloudy gold color with a one finger off white head. Aroma is a light citrus, nothing too prominent. Taste is more than smell with a great citrus flavor, more grapefruit and unripe orange. This continues to the finish. Feel is soft and very effervescent. Bitterness is very low.

This is a great pale ale with a delicate yet powerful flavor.
