Originally brewed in celebration of the first anniversary of Row 34, our favorite Fort Point oyster bar and craft-beer purveyor, Vicinity highlights a neighborhood collaboration of passion and vision. The beer's appearance is a yellow straw-color, with a significant haze. Heavy citrus aromas of pineapple, orange flesh and mango dance on the nose and palate. The pilsner malt provides a medium body and wraps up each sip with a slight balancing bitterness.

MALT: Pilsner, Flaked Wheat, C-15

HOPS: Galaxy, Citra, Columbus

16 oz can. Pours hazy golden with tall, long lasting foamy white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and tropical fruit. Body is midium and crisp. Taste is cimilar to aroma. Finish is long and dry. Nice brew.

Poured a dense, yellow-orange body with decent head and lace sheath down the glass. The aroma has notes of orange/citrus, pineapple, something like tropical fruits (mango?) and hint of something "spicy". Smooth, medium to heavy body, has almost no bitterness other than a touch of something like peppery spice along with some acidic notes like pineapple, orange, pink grapefruit and even something sweet like mango. Finishes slightly boozy and creamy for a nice finish on a balanced beer that is easy to drink.

Pours a milky yellow-gold with a fine white head that doesn't leave a lot of lacing behind as it subsides. Nose is citrus and grass with maybe a hint of pine. Inviting, but rather muted. Taste is of lemon, grapefruit, pineapple and that melon flavor that seems to be in every Trillium beer I've tried. A little sweet - I'd prefer a bit more bitterness to compensate. What bitterness there is is just a hint of rind in the swallow. But very easy to drink for 8%.

12oz snifter pour at Community Pint, in Spokane, WA, for approximately $8.

Milky yellow color, becoming more milky looking when held up to light. Decent sized off-white head. Lots of lace.

Citrusy nose. There's a hint of pineapple, but it's mostly orange and grapefruit in the nose.

The various forms of fruit noted above are blended well in the flavor. There's also a subtle sweetness in the background. Finishes with a slightly acidic bitterness.

Medium bodied, with a soft, slightly creamy mouth feel.

One of the better hazies I've had for a minute. Most hazies on tap here are PNW approximations of the NE style that greatly vary from one another, let alone stuff like this, so I'm enjoying access to it.

Couple observation before even getting to the pour. Boss points for nicely designed can, complete with oyster and the knife it was shucked with. excited already, then poof robust piney hoppy scents right from can opening.

Yeah, hazy. small head, choppy lacing.

Flavors include grapefruit, starfruit, sprinkled with zest of lemon. But supported with robust crackery malt backbone, and super hopped fresh juicy finish. Easily recognized as a highish ABV DIPA, but pleasant taste and everything mixing well together and crafted beautifully. Gets a bit sweet if not puckering as I sip away and close out the pint.

Wonderful DIPA
