I can't believe no one has reviewed this beer yet!
This is a great barleywine. The look is almost perfect - straw / gold color with great white head that dissipated to a smooth layer leaving some and nice delicate lacing. Smell is a little synthetic as is the taste - sweet and candy-like - you can definitely taste the oak cask which tends to nullify any hop presence, but not sure if there was much intended to begin with. Feel is medium-bodied, not really chewy, but headed in that direction. Overall, I can't say I loved this beer as much as much as I do the hopped-up Trillium beers, and not as much as Day and Night either, but most certainly a decent barleywine.
