In another exciting collaborative effort with our neighbors at Barrington Coffee Roasters, this is a bold American stout infused with cold-brewed coffee. PM Dawn exhibits an earthy, freshly roasted coffee bean and dark chocolate/mocha nose. The flavor profile consists of vanilla, hot chocolate, and caramel along with rich espresso. With a medium to heavy body, luscious mouthfeel, and light bitterness, PM Dawn is balanced and full, smooth with a drying roast character.

bottle dated w a sticker 4/14/15. This was good. Nice dark poor. Nose definitely boasted good gourmet rich roasted coffee on top of a nice full bodied stout. Taste to follow. I had no issue taking down the bottle to myself and found myself wishing I had more.

Best coffee stout ever. Seriously. Full bodied, genuine, ultimate coffee flavor not overtaking but instead meticulously blending with and complementing the awesome stout.

041415. Massive, dense, lacy head that is light brown in color. The beer itself is obviously black as a beer can be, even held up to light. Pours thick. Unique, fruity nose with aromas of syrup, molasses, brown sugar, coffee, dark chocolate. Strangely enough, and maybe this is my mind playing tricks, but it smells like the small, mountainous coffee village that I stayed in for a week this past winter. The air was very unique and had a pleasant smell, similar to this beer. Coffee was the major crop and the house I stayed at also had all the equipment on site to process, roast, and grind the coffee, so that could be the smells I enjoyed. WOW, the flavors are absurd and the mouthfeel is so creamy. Unbelievable balance of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. One of the best-drinking stouts that I can remember. Perfect body. I poured it at room temperature, though it was on an unseasonably cold day for June 2nd! This is what I have been looking for in a stout for years and since I first drank one. I really think the cold-brewed coffee makes a difference...no bitterness and the smoothness added to the character of the beer. If I had to choose one stout to drink the rest of my life, this would be it (though I hear Good Morning from Tree House tops it). I drank it wayyyyy too fast bc it goes down so easily. Another huge thanks to judkinst!

Bottled 041415 and served in a tulip. Pours the color of cola with a dense, 1.5 inch, mocha-colored head that eventually settles into a consistent slick. Thin, delicate swaths of lacing are present during the tasting. Nose expresses roasted coffee, without being vegetal, and a hint of sweetness falling somewhere between vanilla and flavored coffee creamer. Taste on this beer is really impressive - roasted coffee, baker's chocolate and more of that creamer sweetness; however it comes off less artificial in the flavor profile. I almost feel like I get a hint of cherry towards the back. A light roasted quality carries between quaffs. Mouthfeel is light-medium (closer to medium) with a mild, even carbonation and a creamy texture. Overall, one of the best coffee stouts I've had to date. The coffee does not overpower and mingles nicely with all of the other characteristics. I definitely recommend drinking this one fresh.

From 05/19/15 notes. 22 oz. bottle into a tulip.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black color, with one finger of dark tan head and moderate carbonation evident. Awesome sweet coffee to it....tons of coffee, cream, sweet chocolate, roasted malts, toasted malts, caramel, oak, and burnt notes. Full body and low to moderate carbonation, no alcohol bite though.

Overall a very good coffee stout. Awesome sweet coffee and chocolate, would love to have it again.

I thought it was an espresso upon opening up the bottle! One of the richest coffee aromas that I have encountered. The taste is fairly heavy on the coffee, but seems to be a bit too sweet. Would be the equivalent of adding a few spoonfuls of sugar into your espresso. In this case the sweetness is more vanilla and caramel. Thin, silky mouthfeel adds to the warmth of the stout.
