Our Dark Strong Ale aged in oak bourbon barrels with fermentation carried out by our native New England mixed microbe culture. Dark maroon in color, Black Currant Wild Sinister Kid emits upfront fruity aromatics entwined with hints of oak. This tart, wild ale offers complex flavors of plum, raisin, raspberry, and red wine, finishing dry with light to medium body. Re-fermentation with black currants results in an enhanced layer of delicate acidity.

One of the better dark sours that I've had in recent memory, or honestly, ever. Rivals anything I've had from Lost Abbey... only carbonated! Not cheap but absolutely worth a try.

Big thanks to my boi, Dingo, for hooking this one up.
Nice dark, purplish pour like sipping on a 40. Smell is fairly pleasant - almost like some 17th century farm worker barrel aged this goodie for the king. Taste is alive like A-Rod on roids. Mouthfeel is ok. It’s not bad, but just a lil too carbonated.
Overall, it’s still a damn good beer.

Lots of tart black currants, oak, spice, red wine, funk, plum, raspberry, raisin, dark caramel, molasses, vanilla, mild chocolate, really complex and interesting reminiscent of an oaky red wine.

One of the best sours I've tried to date. Easily goes toe-to-toe with Cascade, Crooked Stave, OEC, and the other greats of the sour world. Black currant is a brilliant addition, and the palate beautifully straddles the line between earthy and puckering. Wonderfully layered. Simply brilliant.
