Cutting Tiles is an exploratory series of Double IPA's featuring a range of aromatic single hop varietals brewed with raw wildflower honey. This new version is dosed with 100% El Dorado in all kettle, whirlpool and two massive dry hop additions. The local wildflower honey keeps the body light and drinkable but provides a earthy backbone. Lime zest, orange creamsicle, and pineapple on the nose. Flavor follows with citrus and subtle rose character. New variants to follow!

Very smooth. No bitterness. Honey in the background. World class? Like it but not a fav.

From 1 16oz can dated 6/9/21 into a tulip.
Pours an opaque orangish yellow with about one finger of off-white head. Head dissipates quickly leaving a small ring around the edge. Ever so slight amount of lacing.
Smells of floral, pineapple, honey, oranges, grapefruit, dirt and grass.
Tastes of citrus, honey with dank and bitter notes, some pine and earth. Slight booziness.
Full bodied, sticky mouthfeel. Long lingering bitter aftertaste. Bit of warming.
Been a while since I had a Trillium beer and this does not disappoint. Just a well put together brew.

I got a huge whiff of pineapple upon cracking the can, and that's the first flavor I detected. I definitely taste the orange creamsicle flavor but don't personally sense the lime. Feel is good but just a tad less "fluffy" than some of the other Trillium hoppy ales. Overall, another excellent offering, though I personally prefer the Mosaic and Citra versions of Cutting Tiles (which happen to be my two favorite hops, so no surprise there).
