This version of our signature American pale ale is dry hopped with Motueka. Hazy and blonde in appearance, the nose conjures melon, lemon drops and pineapple aromatics. Robust hop flavors of cantaloupe and fresh cut grass are balanced by a subtle, bready malt character and mild, subdued bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Yet another enjoyable NE IPA form Trillium

L - pours that classic Trillium dull yellow haze. Huge fluffy head with giant bubbles barely supporting their own weight. Quickly dissipating into a fragile lattice structure. Amazed at how it holds its height for so long given how much air is between the foam bubbles.
S - grape and dried banana slices. Sourdough. Ripe pineapple and gym socks. (Yes, those are ripe too.)
T - sweet fresh-baked bread with raisin and grape chunks. Grape bread? Is that a thing? Mature and ye olde tasting. Some vinous characteristics along with earthy, muggy, dampness. Finish is mostly clean with some lingering lip-smacking dryness.
F - medium carbonation, but with a silky feel. Above par for Trillium. Light electric tingles and a great complement to the rest of the beer.
O - Motueka is a strange hop. I feel like I say that every time I review a Motueka-based beer. You get the grape from Nelson, but with an added vinous elegance. Not quite straight wine, but wine barrel. Perhaps one of the lesser Fort Points, but interesting all the same.

Dated 6/5/19 on the bottom of the can, one month since brewing.
Pours a hazy, nearly opaque darker orange-gold with two fingers of rocky white head. Dissipated pretty quickly. Nose of honeydew melon, bubble gum, orange juice, fresh herbs, lilacs, honeycomb and lime. Taste follows the nose, with additional notes of passionfruit, green tea, wheat flour, candied lemon and a bit of cracker. Great mixture of flavors! Medium body, low+ bitterness, medium sweetness, low drying and a nice rolling smooth carbonation. The motueka really kicks in a big citrus/lime notes in to this one, almost like someone squeezed a lime slice in to the can. Great brew!

16oz can, about 3 weeks old. Trillium snifter glass. Medium orange yellow body, one finger frothy white head, good retention, bit of lacing. Smell is big spicy herbal hops, big resin, tropical fruit and a nice grainy crackery bite. Flavour follows. Moderate grainy sweetness. Big herbal spice, moderate resinous bite which seems to accentuate the grainy character of the beer. Mild lemon and fair dose of grapefruit and tropical fruit. Medium bodied, soft and creamy, good carbonation, mildly dry finish.

Can from the source.
Hazy lemon yellow in color with a decent sized white head that persists. Earthy tropical juicy fruit on the nose and in the flavor. Light sweet bread to counter. Really nice beer.

Looks pale and slightly murky yellow with a soapy head that disappears faster than women when i tell them I love them.
Smells like all the citrus fruits are hanging out.
Tasting an easy amount of melon bitterness with subtle earthy undertones at the tail end.
Feels light on the palate and mildly refreshing.
Overall, I've had better. But maybe I'm just saying that because for once its not being said to me.
