For this rendition of our signature porter, brewed with oats, we added a post-fermentation dose of chocolate. Inviting aromas of coffee milk, cacao nibs, and pudding are followed by a hazelnut heavy palate, strong notes of dark chocolate, and Pot & Kettle's signature smooth mouthfeel. Opaque in appearance with a warm brown color.

Pulling the porter style away from the grip of stout, Trillium's oatmeal porter has one foot in the proper style and another in that of American stout. But with the help oats and chocolate, the more porter-like character of the beer is stronger emphasized for a strong but succulent, savory, and roasty toasty taste.
Very dark brown and capped with a frothy, lathery blanket of foam, Pot & Kettle with Chocolate brings those promises of cream and cocoa to the nose. Coffee, toasted pecan, toffee and milk chocolate round out the nose before a hit of caramel, toffee and sweet cream layer evenly across the front of the tongue.
The full saturation of oats, cream and cocoa seep deep into the tastebuds in a true mocha latte kind of way. Sweet, savory and toasty, a middle palate of milk chocolate, dark roast coffee and roasted chestnuts extend into a chicory-like bitter and spice combination with hints of walnut brownies coming to mind late in taste.
Full bodied but relaxed on the palate, the otherwise drier dark ale is given a roundness, smoothness and velvety texture because of the creamy nature of oats and the sweetened chocolate taste. Its a perfect after dinner sipper or something to take the place of s'mores at the campfire.

Appearance: Pours coffee colored with a one finger tan head that leaves spotty lacing
Smell: Rich chocolate tones with vanilla and hazelnut angles
Taste: Chocolate forward with the vanilla and hazelnut adding complexity; malty, with restrained bitterness, that enables the sweeter elements to persist into the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Really enjoy the rich chocolate tones in this beer
