Six is our Belgian Pale Ale, loosely inspired by one of JC's favorite beers. We pay homage in both the ingredients and design with Six, our ode to the Belgian style pale ale.
Six is a bright, golden straw color, and leads with a nose of pepper and fresh cut hay. A palate of light pear, bubblegum and phenolic clove is balanced by a bitter note reminiscent of grapefruit rind. Finishes with medium bitterness and effervescence from the higher levels of natural carbonation.
MALT: Belgian Pale Malt, Valley Pilsner, Dextrose
HOPS: Hallertau Mittlefruh
YEAST: Belgian Ale Yeast

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this bottle. 2018 vintage.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear gold with a big two finger head that fades to leave light wisps.
S - Aromas of bright floral hops, sweet malts, great esters, little bit of alcohol.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of sweeter malts and big esters. Rather yeasty, definitely went past in the bottle. Finish is slightly astringent as well as metallic.
M - Mouthfeel is aggressively carbonated, distracting so.
O - Overall this was a solid enough with a rather aromatic nose but the taste and mouthfeel were rather sharp.

Pours a fair medium sized head, decent lacing, very little retention, very clear little sediment pale blond color
Nose isn't bad, Belgian blond malt, sweet toasted little doughy malt, nice fruity esters, lemony orange citrus, lemon rind hint tartness, nice phenol spices, mild floral hops
Taste more of the same, toasted blond malts, little doughy, prickly carb from over carbonation and little yeasty note prob from too much attenuation in the bottle, mild tart acidic lemony bread dough, little citrus esters, mild spicy phenols, spicy in general, slight metallic flavor, grainy
Mouth is med bod, way too much carb, astringent
Overall meh, started with a nice nose quite on style, then went down hill, astringent, metallic, yeasty

On tap at the brewery. Mostly clear with a huge white head. Strong Belgian yeast aroma. A bit of plastic and earthy notes. Tastes of bright pilsner and a little bit fruity malts up front. Strong yeast again. Very deep and earthy. Medium body. It's ok.

Clear golden yellow to straw like with a strong 3 finger head . Yeast is strong on the nose spice with clove and taste nice clean cracker like malt sweetness but an earthy like finish .
Over call glad I got a bottle and nice treat but different hop to enhance the spice vs the earth like tones in the beer would put it over the top

Had on tap. Pours clear gold in color with minimal head. Taste is hay, green apple and Belgian spice. Light bodied, moderate carbonation and funky. Good Belgian beer.

22 oz Bomber into a 13 oz snifter
A - Light orange, gorgeous fluffy head, streaks of tiny bubbles emanate from the base of the glass
S - Fruity notes of apple, clove, and pear. Some white pepper, ginger and faint lemon zest
T - Spicy hop presence up front, apple and pear becomes the star for the second act.
M - Perhaps the perfect level of carbonation of any beer I've had in a long time. Superbly dry and almost Champagne like finish. The palate is washed almost perfectly clean, making this beer exceptionally drinakable.
O - Begian Pale Ale is quickly becoming a favorite style of mine and this may be my favorite example of the style. Would have this anytime, anywhere.
