Utilizing a new yeast profile, Permutation 31 presents a hazy orange/amber hue with a powerful nose of mango, melon, pineapple, and a slight spruce note. A balanced, full bodied palate of orange, pineapple, and citrus zest finishes with soft bitterness.

This is so good. Even having it at like 6 weeks old, it’s delicious. Whatever the hops are, I’m getting a pomelo taste, which I didn’t think I’d ever get in a beer. And it’s super soft, like pillowy soft just like Perm 32. Trillium is killing it lately.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on April 27, 2018. A balanced, full bodied palate of orange, pineapple, and citrus zest finishes with soft bitterness.

16 oz. can dated 4/3/18 purchased at brewery and poured into dubvariant glass.
L: Nice 2F head with good retention, leaves spotty lacing and a cap and ring. Beer is a hazy deep orange.
S: Tons of pineapple and orange, with some melon and mango in the background. Serious fruitbomb. Can the taste live up to it?
T: Not quite, but in the neighborhood! Lots of fruity pineapple and tangerine, with backup tropical fruits. Malts here are pretty sweet, and there is a hint of a piney finish.
F: Quite full-bodied for an IPA, but drinkable as such. Light carbonation, just about the right amount here. Balance is off the charts, construction very, very good.
O: One of the rare times I am rating something significantly higher than the group does. Whatever this hop is, it needs to be used more often, and I would love to see this beer become a regular Trillium offering.
