Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.
Permutation Series Number 45 features a double dose of Mosaic for the dry hop and offers an intensely dank nose with tropical notes of honeydew melon rind, citrus oil, and overripe mango. The palate follows and develops with flavors of grapefruit pith, cantaloupe, passionfruit, and papaya. With a medium-full creamy mouthfeel, Permutation #45 finishes clean with a balanced floral bite.
MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, C-15
HOPS: Mosaic, Columbus

Growler from the source.
Pours cloudy copper with an average head and retention. Green onions, honey and malt in the nose with a hint of solvent. Medium bodied with a tacky, resinous mouthfeel. Sweet malt with garlic-rubbed citrus on the palate. Finishes a bit sweet with more green onion.
The new fermentation technique or different yeast they are using definitely adds some malty sweetness to the beer.

Pours golden, head subsides after thirty seconds. It's got tropical aromatics. The body is a little big, as you'd expect with a 9.4%er, but it is pleasant and it doesn't have a ton of booze. It really gets that tropical mosaic dialed in. I had this with some DDH Melcher and this blew it away. It was the best of the single hop DIPAs for me.
