Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.
Permutation Series Number 46 features a double dry hop of New Zealand’s Nelson Sauvin hops. Dark orange straw in color with thick haze, Permutation 46 offers an earthy nose displaying tropical aromas and grape must with underripe pineapple and mango. Creamy cantaloupe and orange pulp lead the palate with a consistent supporting note of table grapes. A light grapefruit pithiness presents itself towards the finish alongside a moderate herbal/grassy bitterness.
ABV: 8%
MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, C-15
HOPS: Nelson Sauvin, Columbus

Pours a thick golden, borderline murky. Good white wine character, some pepper. It's very thick bodied. It just feels heavy and despite getting some nice Nelson character out of the hops, the body weighs this beer down.

16oz can dated 6/12/18.
Pours murky orangy-gold with a thick, creamy head of beige. Peach fuzz with pineapple in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy, tacky mouthfeel. Pithy citrus with dank undertones on the palate. Finishes a bit sweet with some faint malt and dank citrus.
The hops are certainly subdued in this one especially in the nose.

This one pours a hazy dark orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells super dank and green, with some cat piss, white grape, and mango.
This isn't quite up to the high quality of that the series usually is, as there's a distinct cat piss and vegetal sort of herbal hop flavor that definitely detracts. There's a bit of booziness, too, especially as it warms. These all make it hard to enjoy the better parts of this beer, namely the grapiness and the mango juiciness.
This is medium bodied, and a little bit hard to drink, with an astringency on the finish.
This was a rare miss from this series- usually the IPA Permutation cans are absolutely wonderful.

I am not sure what the intent of these Permutation beers is right now but they are consistently dark, murky, with no head, and therefore not pleasant to observe; stick with bright and glowing haze, so much prettier;
