Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.
This installment of marks our continued experimentation to create a Lager with a distinctive Trillium expression. Staying rooted in tradition, this iteration features noble Saaz hops and a simple grist of 100% German Pilsner malt. Saaz is one of the oldest hop varieties dating back in usage at least 700 years and serves as the ancestor of many New World hops such as Motueka. Pouring the striking color of golden wheat with slight haze, Permutation #42 offers a lively nose of lemongrass, honeysuckle and nutty crackers. The lagering fermentation process allows for a clean, finessed representation of soft, bready malt with a snappy hop profile of lavender and lemon zest. Finishes crisp, clean, and light with a nicely stabilized bite.

Picked up a couple of 64 oz growlers, stored appropriately and enjoyed three days later. Surprisingly mellow profile from Trillium - I was expecting something super-hopped like their permutation lagers of the past but this is a tasty pilsner that fits a more standard profile. I'm a big fan of the style so it gets praise from me.
Golden pour with great clarity and a soapy white head. Pilsner personified.
Cracker, bread, lemon and an earthy spiciness defines the aroma.
Taste is right there with a touch of lemon and grass to round it out. Slightly bitter kick with a crisp snap on the back end. Clean and light on the palate. Perfect carbonation.
Nice package overall with an ABV that lends itself to a multiple pours.

Draft at trillium
looks the part a touch more golden then the std pils and a nice white head. Smell classic pils with a little spiciness from the SAAZ hops. Taste clean and nice touch of malt, solid lager and nice change of pace could use a touch more crispness
