Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.

Permutation 53 is a continuation of our unique take on a Gose. Pouring a slightly hazy, vibrant ruby red hue; delightful aromas of freshly picked, ripe summer berries meet the nose underpinned by white peach and red grape. Flavors of jammy raspberry and cranberry lead the palate followed by a refreshing hint of tart strawberry-rhubarb. Permutation 53 is easy drinking, with a light invigorating acidity and a clean finish.

MALT: Pale Malt, Honey Malt, Victory Malt
HOPS: Citra

Ruby robe with an ephemeral head at pouring.
Nose is a huge mix of jammy red berries and peaches tartness, lactic acid.
Taste has alot of fruitiness of freshly picked berries, jammy style, along with that stone fruit tartness, kinda have the strawberry-rhubarb feeling noted in the description.
Easy drinkability.

Canned on July 11 and opened in July 17 2018.

Only a very slight haze to the vibrant beet juice looking liquid. Ruby highlights. Brilliant color. A pint foamy dome hovers and crackles for a moment, then recedes fully to oblivion.

A very dense, sweet and tangy fruity aroma abounds. Black raspberry, tangy strawberry tarts and vanilla. The rapsberry and peach additions make this nose crazy fruity.

As the nose is rather sweet overall, the initial taste is that of tangy and tart wild berry juice. A super crispy, sour edged malt thing cuts through, but is overwhelmed by the multiple layers of red/sour fruity flavors. A nice level of sour and rustic aged effects, simple, light, big fruits and sour. A dry, woody and earthy thing happens that just ups the level of complexity here.

I will admit to enjoying but not exactly being thrilled with the fruity gose style. This is very well done, if you like fruity, fizzy ,...fruity light beer. Seriously though, the fruit effect and sour notes are exceptional.

L -- Pours a lovely ruby-hued body with moderate haze. Finger of head recedes almost instantly, leaving zero retention or lacing. Looks like cranberry juice
S -- Raspberry, lacto tartness, lemon, fruit punch, peach, cherry. Smells a bit like a Flanders red ale
T -- Decent amount of lemony tartness and saltiness. Raspberry jam comes through big time, peach not so much. No detectable hop character
F -- Light mouthfeel, medium+ carb. Very quaffable and refreshing. Perhaps a hair too tart for the style
O -- Solid fruited Gose, especially if you like you goses on the tart side. Great summer outdoor beer

16 oz. canned on 07/11/18

Pours slightly hazy ruby red with a receding off-white light pinkish foam head. Smells like tart raspberries, white peach, some funky sour yeast, a hint of salt, mild citrusy tropical fruit aromas, toasty caramelized grain, fruit rollup, fruit punch-like aromas, with flowery earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like fresh tart jammy raspberries, fresh peaches, mildly acidic sour yeast, some salt, notes of cranberry, strawberry rhubarb, citrusy tropical fruits, toasty caramelized bready grain, sour berry jam, with flowery earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, slick and smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice fresh and fruity refreshing gose with raspberry and peach.

Pours a deep ruby-maroon body with a small light purple head that reduces to leave no lacing or retention.

Lots of raspberry on the aroma, fruit punch, rhubarb and maybe some cranberry.

On the tongue its super juicy, literally, and moderately tart. Raspberry and strawberry dominate, with a light malty finish. Easy drinker, pretty refreshing with medium-low carbonation. Could use a little more carbonation for the style.
