Nestled in the bay just off the coast, Boston's Harbor Islands are rich with history and intrigue. Each is known for its unique appeal and backstory, with a string of larger narratives tying them together en masse. The Harbor Islands IPA series grew out of the exploration that took place in our Permutation Series, where we developed a new series of IPAs that showcases extraordinary hops, building on our team's experience brewing hoppy beer at Trillium.
Peddocks Island is the first installment in the Harbor Islands series - brewed with the signature Citra hop. The beer pours orange with enticing haze, and starts tropical with pineapple, mango and a touch of citrus on the nose. Fresh oranges take the lead on the flavor, with pineapple and grapefruit pith following, and a touch of candied peach sweetness following. Overall, a Citra saturated beer that showcases the vast array of incredible aromas and flavors that hops bring out.
MALT: Pale Malt, Honey Malt, Victory Malt
HOPS: Citra

16oz undated can.
Pours cloudy gold with a short-lived head of white. Minimal retention or lacing. Peach, orange, and grapefruit in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Peaches and mandarin on the palate with zero malt and a minimal bitterness. Finishes with lingering tropicals and fairly dry.

16 oz can traded from mister egrandfield poured into widemouthed ploughshare glass. No can dating but this is likely a March baby.
Dark juicy gold with shades of honey and orange juice underneath a creamy cap of 2 fingers. Sparse broken lacing is left as the head recedes to a half finger.
Bright dank and floral aromas meet juiced orange, pineapple, mango, slight grass. Reminds me of Hawaii, the great beauty and splendor of the ocean and the palms and the greenery amidst sheets of occasional rain.
Flavor is soft and juicy, with hints of white grapefruit juice, mango juice, pineapple, and orange juice. There's not much in the way of depth or layers. Slight herbal presence, lingering resins. Tasty but not quite packing the same punch as Congress or Summer.
Feel is soft but very watery, and seems to break up further as it lays on the palate. Mild carbonation. Slight pleasant acidity and lingering resins.
Overall, a boost in body would have helped this beer immensely, and probably given a fuller impression on the flavor side of things as well. That being said, it's still Trillium, and it's still a very nice drinker.

Pours a slightly darkened orange color with a bubbly 3 finger head. Smell is medium sweet with stone fruit and mango notes. Taste is a bit muddled and mellow sweet with orange blossom highlights. Not too psyched about it but it is something different and pleasant. Feel is medium soft with low bitterness, very thick and creamy.
Not a bad beer but there's something in the flavor and nose I don't like

From a 16oz can, either undated or misprinted. Served in a spiegelau IPA glass.
Pours a dark and murky burnt-butterscotch color with just about two fingers of off-white soapy head. Retention is so-so-meh, leaving a light fizzy cap and some sloppy, scuzzy lacing.
Smells sweet and malty, and of apricots.
Taste is rather unpleasant. Toasted, mildewed grain and composting apricots with a bit of smoldering electrical tape.
Feel is medium bodied and well carbonated. I’m trying to drink it as quickly as possible just to get it out of my mouth.
Bottom line: relatively nasty.
