The Seesaw Series is our gose playground. Designed to capture delight and fun in the form of an easy-drinking and flavorful beer. Each Seesaw has a unique fruit addition to pair with balanced tartness, a touch of salinity, and ABV on the lower side. The nostalgic thrill of warm-weather fun, reimagined in one of our favorite styles. The number of Seesaws dictates once, twice, or three times the fruit added.
Plum takes the lead in this recipe, from the dark purple hue, on through aroma and flavor. It's accompanied on the nose by a huge burst of fresh peach and ripe berries, showcasing the double dose of fruit. On the palate, stonefruit character is complemented by notes of tart citrus and blueberries. Medium-light body with a rounded note of salinity and a crisp finish that will keep you in that summer mindset.
MALT: Pale Malt, White Wheat
HOPS: CTZ

Picked this up when I was in Massachusetts a while ago, as the date on the bottom of the can read 8/17/18. Loved the idea behind as this was such an easy beer to like. Lots of fruit here without an overly tart mouthfeel and without a lot of alcohol to get in the way. It was even enjoyable on a cold winter's night such as this!
Lovely pour to this as the plum, blueberry, and peach combined to give this a rich, violet berry hue that had a more deep orange tinge around the edges. Not a lot of head topped it off and there was practically no lacing or bubbles left behind as I sipped this. A bit of black sediment was floating in it but it was hardly noticeable. Loads of berry juice, mild tartness, acetate, salt, light funk, and plum juice in the nose as the taste was just as deep, varied, and smooth. The taste was a bit more wild in nature with a bit of funky wood in the mix and a crisp, apple-like finish to round things out.
Not a lot of booze here and the carbonation was much livelier on the palate than it was to the eye. Not too sticky like jam or tart like raspberry juice, this straddled the line as it was like fermented juice with some edge to it as if the fruits involved kept their full ripeness. This was fun stuff that I'd easily reach for again, no matter the situation!

16oz can dated 8/17/18.
Pours cloudy dark purple with a pinkish, short-lived head. Plum and blueberry in the nose with a hint of aspirin. Medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. Ripe plums and a blueberry undertone on the palate. Finishes dry, lightly tart, and with plenty of fruit.
Tasty, fruit- filled beer with no resemblence to the Gose style.
