Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.
Permutation 61 pours a light orange hue with a medium level of haze. Bursting aromas of fresh pineapple, ripe white peach, orange peel, and zesty pine leap from the glass and entice the palate. Refreshing flavors of grapefruit pith, orange pulp, and juiced lemon intertwine with a fluffy wheat backbone. Permutation 61 has a modest, balancing note of resinous pine on the finish and lighter drinking body than our standard Double IPAs.
MALT: White Wheat, Pilsner, Flaked Wheat
HOPS: Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe

16oz can dated 8/20/18.
Pours murky gold with a short-lived head of white and minimal retention. Peach, pear, melon, and orange in the nose. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Ripe tropicals on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. Sugar-dusted grapefruit with peaches and mango. Finishes with heaps of juicy hops, faint pine and some warming alcohol.
Great beer and certainly knocking on the door of Triple IPA territory.

A: Hazy orange with rich white foamy head and great lacing.
N: Peaches, orange, hops, pine, and some wheat.
T: Follows the nose, getting a really large resin bite up front with a nice mix of peach, oranges, lemon, wheat, hops and floral tones.
M: Medium/full.
O: A very good beer but the resin bite/ABV could be a bit lower, the flavors are very nice just left behind some. Still a great beer!

I tell you what. All of you who think that this is just an average, walk in the park, kind of beer have clearly been living in an alternate universe. This one is delicious and, yes, at a hefty 9.3% it is not for the timid or the meek. But if you want a juicy beer with an abundance of subtle notes, then you should take this betty out for a drive, because you'll feel the pleasure and it'll sneak up on ya and you'll respect her for it. So if you are bashful, stay home tied to the front porch. But if you are among those who like to pee in the tall grass, well, then this is a beverage you'll truly savor. Cheers to the magicians at Trillium who continue to mix up these hazy potions. This big dog can definitely hunt!
