Pumped to see Trillium put out more styles at sessionable ABVs. Gorgeous beer - sparkling clarity, honey hue with a puffy white head.
Hard to distinguish the Alphra, Bravo and Charlie unless you do a side-by-side. For my tastes each brings a biscuity, bready and grassy profile with the latter category being he differentiator.
Bravo has less of a grassy kick and more balance.
Crisp and eminently drinkable. Slightly watery on the backend. Doesn’t have that Czech or German malty kiss. Cheers!

First visit to the new brewery in Fort Point! Just missed the Helles, which was disappointing. Tapped out earlier in the day. But this was a surprisingly delicious replacement. Incredibly tasty malt bill. Went down easily, within a few minutes, which was an accident. But that’s how drinkable this beer is. Love that Trillium is working on their other styles (those beers outside the obsession with IPAs and sours). Can’t imagine a Pilsner can be much better in Europe.

On tap at the brewery.
Great clarity and a good head on top. DMS loaded, lots of vegtal and cooked corn aromas and flavors. Problematic. Not what you want in a pilsner.

On tap at Trillium Brewing in Canton, MA.
This one pours a medium gold color, probably the "darkest" of the three beers, while still remaining the classic pilsner gold.
This one smells like bready malt, lightly sweet, but dry, with the most hop character on the nose of any of the beers.
The taste is just about the same. It's the beer where the hops come through the most, with a nice mineral-laden finish that's very interesting and refreshing. There's also a nice bready malt character propping up the beer, filling it out nicely.
This has the fullest body of all the beers, while still remaining crisp, clean, and devoid of flaws. It's stupid drinkable.
This is probably my favorite of the whole series. These were really fun to have side by side.
