Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.

#65 is the next glimpse into our traditional lager program - a helles tailor-made for big mugs seated around a communal table. The beer pours dark yellow, bordering on amber, with a crisp shine to it. Aromas of bread dough, freshly cut lemon and a touch of biscuit drift over the fluffy white head. On the palate expect flavors of toasted bread, barley and an underlying bright floral note. A medium body and minimal bitterness make Permutation 65 a refreshing homage to German tradition.

MALT: Pilsner Malt, Carahell, Melanoidin, Acidulated Malt

HOPS: Hallertau Magnum, Hallertau Mittelfruh

Honey gold pour with sparkling clarity. Nice looking brew.

Toast, dough, lemon and a drop of honey sweetness.

Light, bright and crisp. Lacks depth but makes it with drinkability if that’s your preferred balance. Very light in body with a cereal-like aspect on the backend.

Looks great and smells pretty good, but that's about it. Lots of dough and lemon drop candy with honey.

The flavor is definitely lacking. Slightly metallic, and very oily for a lager.

Not horrible, but needs a lot of work.

Growler from the source.

Pours sparkling clear copper with a thin head and zero retention or lacing. Toasted bread dough with a hint of honey in the nose. Medium bodied with a slightly chewy mouthfeel. Doughy malt on the palate with a light sweetness. Finishes with Honey-drizzled malt.

Decent Helles but not too memorable.

On tap at the brewery.

Beautiful looking beer, great clarity with a decent looking white head. Smells and tastes of grainy DMS, not as bad as one of the Pilsners I had from them but its there. There is also this underlying, almost metallic, twang. Not sure where they were taking this brew but its not close to what a Helles is IMO. Hoping they can work this beer out.
