Gay Head Lighthouse' eponymous beer is a double IPA brewed with Mosaic hops and pours with a hazy orange straw coloring. Bursting aromas of fresh and vibrant citrus lead through to a palate ample with flavors of sweet tangerine, lemon granita, candied grapefruit slices, and overripe pineapple. With a medium body and carbonation, Gay Head Lighthouse has a gentle floral bitterness.

Only thing good about it is high alcohol content so good for getting drunk if that’s the goal. Tastes awful though so hard to drink a lot. I have had worse beer (bush is worse, old milwaukee is about the same), but at this price point it’s a no go. It is comparable in taste to Natty Daddy. Tastes like a wet stanky boot.

Made me feel better reading the other rather "blah" reviews! If you like lemon and floral, this is for you. Unfortunately, that's not me.

Appearance: Pours very cloudy and amber colored with a two finger head; squiggles of lacing linger
Smell: Blueberry, mango, tangerine and green onion all drizzled with honey
Taste: Honeyed blueberry and mango forward with candied tangerine adding sweetness and bitterness, through the middle; green onion in the finish
Mouthfeel: Creamy and medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation
Overall: This was just canned a few days ago and I think it is a bit green; perhaps in a week or two the green onion dominance of the finish will recede so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt in my rating
