Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.
Brewed at our Fort Point location, Permutation #70 marks the first entry of our deeper exploration into the unique and innovative hops being cultivated in the Southern Hemisphere. For this batch, we experimented with a few of our favorite Southern Hemisphere varieties, utilizing Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka in the dry hop.
Pouring a light amber-orange with a white foamy head and toned down haze, Permutation #70’s nose gives the impression of ripe mango slices, bright citrus rind, lemongrass and lightly toasted malt. A initial rush of stone fruit on the palate leads into flavors of cantaloupe and lemon-lime juice with a simple yet supportive crackery malt backbone. With a gentle grassy bite, Permutation #70 has a crisp, dry finish with a medium body and moderate carbonation.
MALT: American Two Row, White Wheat, Munich
HOPS: Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, Motueka
