Pom Pom Pom is the imperial version of our milk stout Pom Pom. We amped up the recipe to create a luscious and enticing 10.4% beer that is perfect for winter months.
Pom Pom Pom pours a very dark shade, close to black, with a tan khaki head. Dark chocolate and sweet roasty aromas are the first to hit the nose. On the palate, notes of brownie batter, cocoa, vanilla and cold brew coffee are layered over a full, soft mouthfeel. The type of beer that warms you right up!
MALT: English Pale Malt, C-80, CaraMunich, Flaked Barley, Black Malt, Carafa III, Pale Chocolate
HOPS: Hop Bittering Extract
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS: Lactose Sugar

Pours a very attractive near pitch black with a 3 plus finger light brown head that leaves thick patches of lace as it slowly settles into a foamy film of bubbles. 4
Smell biscuit, toffee, hazelnut, and vanilla beans. 4
Taste follows biscuit, toffee, hazelnut, coffee, cocoa, and vanilla. 4
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, creamy and soft, maybe a tad dry, and at 10% extremely approachable. 4
Overall this is a rock solid stout, that because who brewed it I wanted and expected more. 4

16oz can
Pours nearly two fingers of dense, semi creamy light brown head into my shaker pint. Retention is decent. Initial lacing looks good. Body is jet black.
Nose is chocolate, creamy, a tad roasty. Pretty prominent cinnamon. Definitely a deserty nose, pretty sweet. Hopefully not too sweet. Smells good though.
Flavor is a little sharp/astringent. Not much booze. Pretty sweet. Chocolate is present, not really any cinnamon though. A little roasty. It tastes good, but at times it comes through as a hodgepodge of semi present flavors.
Mouthfeel is ok. Carbonation is pretty low. Silky feel. Pretty thick and sweet, somewhat cloying but not terrible. Alcohol is barely noticeable. Not bitter at all. Could be less cloying, but that’s too be expected. Nice smooth mouthfeel overall.
Drinkability could be a little better considering the sugars, but at 10% it's pretty damn good.
Appearance turned out ok. Lacing was pretty average.
Overall a pretty straight forward desert beer. Drinks well for 10%

Dark brown color -- no light passes. The head is brief, leaving only rim bubbles and no lace.
Smoky and ashen are the first unusual smells beyond the dark chocolate nose.
Boozy with wild cherries. The beer starts with Baker's chocolate but also has a creamy touch. The finish is malty sweet, almost like milk chocolate. Lowly carbonated with a richer body. Relatively short aftertaste.

Poured almost jet black with light brown thin head.
aroma was chocolate and roasted malt
taste was sweet and chocolate coffee like, not mocha but more like cake or brownie batter
pretty full mouth full feeling the lingering taste was chocolate
very rich tastings but there wasn't a lot of discerning layers.
Over all it was a tasty rich stout

Growler from the source.
Pours opaque black with a thin tan head. Retention and lacing is minimal. Chocolate fudge in the nose with roasted malts. On the fuller side of medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Cocoa and fudge on the palate. Finishes a bit sweet with lingering chocolate.
Tasty enough but lacks complexity.
