Permutation is our experimental series of small batch offerings, showcasing the unique visions and innovative concepts developed by our brewing and cellar crew.

Brewed at our Fort Point location, Permutation #86 marks another entry in our deeper exploration of the unique and innovative hops being cultivated in the Southern Hemisphere. For this batch, we experimented with New Zealand-grown Cascade hops. Although this hop is of American origin it takes on tropical notes when cultivated in New Zealand - demonstrating the distinctive terroir of the country. The cellaring and dry-hopping techniques utilized by our Fort Point production crew results in a pale ale that leans slightly more traditional than some of the others we produce.

Pouring a slightly hazy golden orange color with a fluffy white head, Permutation #86 provides bold aromatics of ripe peach, citrus peel, freshly clipped flowers and a touch of caramel malt. NZ Cascade offers a palate teeming with bright, freshly squeezed lemon and tangerine balanced by a rounded yet pleasant bitterness. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel, Permutation #86 has a clean finish.
