James Beard Award-Winning Chef Tim Cushman's and Restauranteur Nancy Cushman's o ya and Hojoko represent the pinnacle of contemporary Japanese cuisine in Boston. When presented with the opportunity to collaborate on three unique events hosted on consecutive evenings, we wanted to commemorate the occasion with a beer that could enhance the experience throughout. Citronus Junos, the specific genus and species of the Yuzu fruit, lends its uniquely bright acidity and dynamic aromatics to cuisines from Korea to China and Japan. Collaboratively brewed in Fort Point, Junos is a light and refreshing Berliner Weisse brewed with yuzu juice and zest.

Presenting a deep straw hue with a soft, subtle haze, Junos is, unsurprisingly, incredibly fragrant. A melange of citrus fruit consisting of lemon zest, lime juice, and grapefruit peel invites each sip. A fresh acidity on the tip of the palate is balanced by just a touch of sweetness that presents itself on the finish. Light- to medium-bodied, with a cleansing effervescence, Junos is a beer built for enjoyment alongside Japanese cuisine.
