The second single-fruited addition to the Daily Serving series highlights bright and zippy cherries! We taste red Jolly Rancher candies, jammy preserves, and fresh Rainier cherries on top of a deceptively full body.

Poured into tulip glass yielded a 1/2 inch pink foamy head that dissipated to a thin soapy lacing and a cloudy cranberry appearance
nose was pretty faint cherry and not much else except a hint of yeast
taste is cherry jolly rancher, some tartness and some salty sour
mouth feel is a slight tingle on the tongue, medium carbonation and a faint pucker factor
over all its a good dessert beer, nice cheery taste.

16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours a deep ruby color with a 2 finger pink cotton candy head. The head has moderate retention, and leaves a fair bit of cobweb lacing around the top of the glass. Ultimately dissipates into a thin sheet.
The aroma is definitely all about dat cherry. Notes of cherry pie, cherry yogurt, and cherry preserves with some more notes of... regular cherries. Not sure what I expected, but it's pleasant.
The flavor follows the nose, but adds a bit more tartness; fresh tart cherries, jolly rancher candy, cherry flavored warheads, cherry pie, cherry yogurt and some bready malt. I feel like Bubba from Forrest Gump naming all the things you can make with cherries instead of shrimp.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very creamy and smooth with some lingering tartness.
Overall, this is a pretty good "Berliner", although you could easily label this as a fruit beer. Do ya like cherries, son? Well here's a beer with all the cherries ever. It's a bit ridiculous if we're being honest, but I still like it. Fruit me up, bitch.

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA

Served in a tulip
Beautiful appearance. A creamy, inch-tall, light pink crown topped the cloudy, burgundy colored body. The head slowly dropped to a thick, frothy, lasting collar. Drippy streaks of lacing trickled along the glass.
The aroma was pretty nondescript initially. Dry, powdery yeasty notes were most apparent. There was a subtle, tart fruity quality as well, but I probably would not guess cherry. As the head receded, the fruitiness became more pronounced. Sour cherries were noticeable. Cherry Jolly Ranchers came to mind. Jammy and fairly sweet.
The flavor profile was similar to the nose. Tart fruity notes were detectable, but I likely would not guess cherry specifically. As the beer warmed, the sour cherry presence intensified. Like the nose, cherry Jolly Ranchers definitely came to mind. Moderately tart and also somewhat sweet. There was a bit of a cough medicine-like quality as well. The beer turned slightly steely on the back end and finished with a subtle earthy hop bitterness. Sour cherry and lemon notes lingered after the swallow.
Excellent smooth, creamy, fluffy mouthfeel. Fuller bodied for the style. The beer contained a fine, fairly zippy effervescence that frothed up very nicely on the palate.
I have really enjoyed all of Trillium’s Daily Serving releases, but this cherry variant was perhaps my least favorite to date. The cherry was a bit artificial tasting and the beer seemed to lack complexity. Nevertheless, this was still tasty, refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day.

This is delicious! Typically I'm not that fond of cherry flavor - it tastes artificial to me. This beer tastes like the bowl of cherries Grandma would wash (each berry, by hand) , then pat dry with a paper towel, then hand to me in a big silver bowl. I'd share 'em with my friends, and we'd have cherry pit wars. Anyhow, it tastes like that and I love it. Two Thumbs Up!
