Launched in 2013, each offering in our classic Street Series of IPAs utilizes the same base recipe but focuses on a singular dry-hop varietal. Starting with the Galaxy-saturated Congress Street, naming these beers after the streets of Boston's Fort Point district created a unique bond to the neighborhood we are proud to call home.

While our roots will always lie within Fort Point, Trillium has blossomed beyond that little section of the city. With our Fenway taproom and the Trillium Garden on the Greenway, Greater Boston has embraced our Farmhouse-inspired offerings, commitment to hospitality, and focus on creating community-minded experiences.

Seven years in, it's time to push the Street Series even further, pairing our favorite elements of the Double IPAs we've brewed alongside the focused dry-hop expressions realized with our Street beers. The Avenue Series pays homage to the many historic roadways throughout the city of Boston.

Pouring a hazy and glowing deep straw yellow, Mass Ave is our introduction to the Avenue Series. The generous dry-hop addition of Mosaic conjures a myriad of tropical and citrus aromas ranging from juicy pineapple rings and dried mango to pulpy orange juice and grapefruit zest. Medium-bodied with a soft, mouth-coating texture, Mass Ave finishes with a kiss of sweetness and a balancing fresh-cut grass bitter character.

MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, Flaked Wheat, Valley Danko Rye
HOPS: Mosaic, CTZ

The beer pours a creamy white head that dissipates at a moderate pace. The beer itself is an opaque orange with yellow notes. It looks pretty good and resembles freshly squeezed juice.

The smell is good. It has a mixture of tropical mango notes mixed in with orange notes before the orange notes come forward to dominate the nose. Pineapple notes come out in the finish.

The taste is good. It has a pine and bitter hop note throughout the whole thing underneath the orange and grapefruit notes. The pineapple and mango come out front before the orange covers them in the finish.

The feel is good. It has a medium heavy body with tingling carbonation. The beer has a very dry finish.

Overall, this is a pretty good NEDIPA that strongly resembles the old West Coast style but not as dry. It certainly reminds me of their earlier beers back when they were just a corner brewery next to a restaurant.

08/06/25. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Hazy bright gold with 2-finger white frothy head with excellent retention and ample lacing.

S: Aroma is dominated by pineapple, tangerine, red grapefruit, passion fruit, and light dank herbal note in the background.

T: Flavor is dynamite with a very juicy tropical fruit juice with pineapple, passion fruit, red grapefruit, orange, and tangerine. Light floral-fruity esters. Low bitterness.

M: Feel is very juice-like with medium body, low-moderate carbonation, and a lightly dry finish.

O: Wow - Trillium Mass Ave is one of the best hazy IPA’s I have had in months. Great beer - definitely worth seeking out.

Hazy orange color with a thick relatively thin head.
Nice aroma with notes of mango, oranges, passion fruit and dank. Not very strong though.
Flavor with notes of fresh oranges, green resin, passionfruit, a bit of mango and white fruits, faint cantaloupe and kiwi. Dry and bitter aftertaste. Bitterness is clean and short-lived.
Medium body with tiny bubbles carbonation. Alcohol of 8.2% is absent.
Very good Double IPA with tropical and citrusy notes with a clean and short-lived bitterness. Feeling its nuances, it delivers an original taste. It fells lighter compared to others Double IPAs, which is welcomed. Very well executed, but curb your expectations.

Mixed bag.

No can date?

Served cold but 48-50 is the best serving temp.

Light golden color with a 2F head.

Aroma is too dank. This comes from the ctz hops with a high level of myrcene which gives the beer a dank, musky aroma which I don’t like.

The MF is spicy which is attributed to the high humulene content followed by a sweet citrus taste.

An excellent beer, I didn’t like the dank aroma. Otherwise, it would be a top grade beer.

Pours a hazy golden color with a 1F head and light lacing.

Smells of grassy hops, citrus and sweet fruit.

Tastes of malt, orange, pineapple with a wheat tang and oat smoothness.

Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel.

This brew is mild mannered and lightly juicy . Should be likable by those who find IPA's to be too bitter.

U2 has it all wrong. The streets here do have names. And when Trillium Brewing is involved, the streets may have two names. Mass. Ave. becomes Mosaic Ave. at least for a session.

Pouring a milky light golden hue, Mass. Ave. immediately starts teasing the nose with green tropical fruit soon after it's lofty eggshell froth settles. Tropical fruit align with citrus, berry and herb in a most citronella character. However is a creamy malt base that sets a tone in flavor first as notions of cereal, honeysuckle and vanilla wafer coat the tongue.

Much of that sweetness only commands the taste so long as the hops spring to life once on the middle palate. Juicy flavors of passionfruit, kiwi and green papaya bring an exotic tropical taste with an undercurrent of lime and white grapefruit following closely behind. Trending bitter but yet still smooth, the bittering hops bring a classic grapefruit, orange peel and piney resin taste that shapes like balsa, cedar and hemp once it's all done.

Medium bodied, plump and malty-dry in finish, the hazy ale treads on the slightly more bitter side of sweetness as the ale fades into a warm glow of hemp, black currant and the juiciness of cantaloup.

Big aroma bomb but with strange fizzy appearance....but, tastes really good ... Surprising light to taste given the hardy ABV ... I enjoyed and so should you.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned on 3/21/24. Pours a very attractive hazy yellow with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace, with nice retention. 4.25

Aroma is peach, mango, mandarin, honeydew, and apricot. 4.25

Taste follows peach, mango, mandarin, honeydew, and apricot. 4.25

Mouthfeel is above average, soft gentle carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 8.2% big flavor, but still easy sipping. 4.25

Overall this is good. I always have high expectations for this brewery and it was good. 4.25
