Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Co.
Our friends from Other Half came to visit our tiny little brewery on Congress Street back in August of 2015 to brew our first ever collaboration beer. Nearly five years later, we've hit refresh on the original recipe and amplified it to levels its never been before. Really Green Street is a Double IPA with a hopping rate equivalent to some of the most saturated hoppy offerings in our portfolio.
Presenting a light straw color with an opaque, soft haze, Really Green Street's intense aroma profile jumps from the can as soon as it's cracked. Notes of candied melon, peach nectar, juicy fruit gum, and ripe pineapple entice each sip.

Modest head production, and shockingly poor retention; very quickly, the off-white foam has completely disappeared, leaving nary a trace. Body is pulpy and opaque, as expected, and a shade of yellow somewhere in between lemon and mango.
Nose is explosive and super bright, with sharp green herbal notes, mango, pineapple, lemon, orange, and cream.
As juicy as the nose is, the hop flavors are even more intense on the palate. Bright green herbs, from weedy garden herbs to the kitchen to some pungent dankness, are most prominent, especially up front, but there is plenty of juice as well: grapefruit, pineapple, lime zest, peach, and mint.
Smooth and creamy with a lively bite, presenting that world class mouthfeel that both Trillium and Other Half typically nail, and are perhaps only surpassed by Tree House and Hill Farmstead.

Pours an opaque pale orange with hues of white around the edges. Head is a finger and a half of white foam. Aroma is green heavy with soft melon dew, mango, and grass behind. Flavor profile is just as green forward, pushing notes of melon dew, papaya, orange zest, and grass. The flavor profile works to push the tropical fruits even more forward than they were in the nose. Mouth feel has a little chalky silt to it that coats the mouth throughout the experience. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall, definitely green forward, which gives it a more unique drinking experience than many of the current NE IPA options. Despite being green, it lacks any hop bite, and features plenty of tropical fruits to keep it drinking smooth.

Pours milky gold with a short-lived head of white. Minimal retention or lacing. Dank tropicals in the nose. Weed, mango, pine and peach. Medium bodied with a chalky, creamy mouthfeel. Pine resin and pithy citrus on the palate. Finishes dry with lingering citrus, zero malt, and a balancing bitterness.

L - pours a vibrant greenish yellow. Thick brick of haze. Fizzy lattice head with enormous bubbles that dissipate faster than I can type this sentence. Left behind is a crisp, glowing orb of milky turbidity.
S - pineapple pith and zesty, resinous hops. Musty grape, earthy lime, and lemon drop. Light pear tops it all off.
T - tangy, peppery hoppiness. Acidic and electric. Peach pear seltzer, underripe pineapple, and lemon-lime. All the rinds, all the peels, all the pith. Green grapefruit bitterness with a touch of honey graham cracker sweetness. Dry and rindy, the flavor quickly drops off.
F - artificial and fizzy. Reasonably smooth body, but overly airy; it's easy to get choked up after a swish or two. Gotta be careful to avoid gulping down straight air. And here I thought Trillium was improving their feel. Not sure what else I expected from the two worst mouthfeel offenders in the business.
O - well, they weren't lying when they said "really green". Loads of underripe citrus yields a pungent, zesty twang. Crisp, acidic, and peppery. Certainly flavorful though, and hard to put down.
