Featuring a hefty dose of the illustrious Citra hop, Comm Ave pours a glowing, opaque gold. This beer wastes no time in displaying its overwhelmingly juicy character. Easy to love aromas of Cara Cara orange juice, preserved peach, and clementine sorbet attack the palate in waves. A generous wheat addition allows for a vivacious and soft drinking experience. Comm Ave is a standout in the Trillium family of Double IPAs.

Poured a cloudy yellow body with minimal head with decent lace ring. Aroma is strong of soapy, acidic hops and tropical fruits. Smooth, medium body, hidden booze, acidic and sweet and reminded me of orange-flavored smoothie with some tropical notes like mango and pink grapefruit. Easy finish and very relaxing beer to sip on.

Poured from a can , a couple months old,
1.5 finger head. Some lacing. Hoppy , orange, mango flavors. The taste starts out slow, but the flavors continue to grow.
I’m from Michigan, and had my first visit to Trillium this year. It won’t be my last. They have some amazing beers.
Between Trillium and Treehouse, I may have to move to Massachusetts!

Can date smudged
Pours a cloudy opaque peach-orange color, mild fizzy bubbly head, very little retention, a touch of lacing
Nose brings tons of orange, orange cream, tangerine, mango sorbet, a little pith, citrusy tropical fruit juice, a hint of dank hop notes in the background, light creamy sweet malts
Taste brings more of the citrus and tropical fruits, tons of orange cream, tangerine dream, clementine, tangelo, mango sherbet and mixed fruit milk shake almost, a hint of chalky mineral, flaked proteins and creamy malt, hint of smooth alcohol, a hint of hop spice and fresh cut grass, drier finish a touch sticky and a bit more alcohol warmth, more pithy citrus hop notes and spice lingering
Mouth is med bod, very creamy and juicy, med carb, a touch of warming alcohol
Overall pretty good, I feel like this harkens back to their older OG juicy IPAs that I used to look forward to, so glad to see this compared to many of their newer ones

Pours an opaque orange color with a 1F head and light lacing.
Smells of slightly dank piney hops, citrus and sweet fruit.
Tastes of lightly tart grapefruit, orange, pineapple, mango and tangy wheat with a moderately bitter, boozy warm finish.
Medium body with light pickily carbonation. Smooth dry mouthfeel.
This brew is a bitter/juicy hop bomb. Maybe too much for some but ok by me.

Pours a hazy, apricot yellow color; loosely sudsy head, white, settles to a thinner, more compact density after a while. Incredibly fragrant fruity tones on the nose; grapefruit and apricot; tangerine. Oats and hop bitterness dominate the taste; citrus pith. Medium-heavy feel; sharp and acidic.
A good New England India pale ale but indistinguishable from so many others.
ABV: 8.2%; pouring temperature: 50.8 ℉; canning info: 06/-2/225
Source: local purchase (Colatrain Fine Wine, Craft Beer & Spirits)

From a 16oz can, canned on 06/02/2025
This is a juicy looking beer. Even though my glass at the resort isn't the best, it looks murky as hell. It is an orange color. The head is 1 finger and white colored with no lacing.
I was smelling a hop bomb while pouring the beer. Up close I get a ton of pineapple, mango, and grapefruit. It is strong and pleasing.
What I was getting in the nose doesn't translate as much into the taste. I am getting a ton of cantaloupe and honeydew. Wow. How did the nose and the flavor converge so much? If I am getting the mango, pineapple and grapefruit, it is so minimal. Hops are so damn strange sometimes. Slight bitterness on the back
The body is off the charts smooth and juicy. Soft. Creamy. Full.
Wow. This beer is amazing. Their reputation is earned.

Can date 6/2. Best starting at 48° to bring out a smoother full citrus- dry hop flavor and temper the initial dankness.

A: Pours a milky murky bright mango yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + bright orange + peach + apricot + pale golden yellow + pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small to medium sized patches of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/orange + citrus/tangerine + tropical/guava + tropical/passionfruit hops over the top of moderate aromas of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a moderate amount of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + oat + wheat malts with a moderate amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/orange + citrus/tangerine + tropical/guava + tropical/passionfruit hops which impart a hint of bitterness which fades quickly leaving moderate lingering tropical + citrus hop flavors.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel but not as creamy as some of the other examples in the style. Enjoyable hop proifile heavily featuring Citra - lots of citrus + passionfruit and guava.

A big Citra bomb of an imperial hazy IPA with big pineapple, guava, red grapefruit, and orange aromas and even more flavor in a dangerously drinkable package with medium body at most. Great beer from Trillium at the source.

On tap, pours a hazy light orange. Smell and taste nicely feature the Citra hops, with orange, tropical fruits and a bit of dank. Very drinkable at the ABV. Another excellent NEIIPA from Trillium.
