The Emerald Necklace series tells a foundational piece of the Trillium Brewing story. If you’ve visited our home of Boston, you’ve likely encountered and enjoyed a section of the Emerald Necklace. Beginning downtown at the Boston Common and Public Garden, extending out to Back Bay, and all the way to Dorchester, this 1,100 acre, the seven-mile-long public park system is a cherished green oasis in the heart of the city. Years ago, JC cultivated a plot in the Fenway Victory Gardens, where he grew edible and decorative plants, trees, and even some hop bines!
Located on a 281-preserve between Jamaica Plain and Roslindale, the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University is truly a living museum. With a focus on the floras of eastern North America and eastern Asia, this beautiful park is free and open daily to those of all ages.
Pouring a rich, golden yellow with a warm and inviting haze, Arnold Arboretum's Citra/Galaxy hop bill offers an array of citrus-meets-stone fruit aromas that we know and love. Navel orange peel, sweet canned peach, apricot nectar, and pineapple gummies weave in and out throughout each sip. Never leaning too hard in the direction of sweetness or bitterness, Arnold Arboretum boasts a soft mouthfeel and medium body.
HOPS: Citra, Galaxy
MALT: American 2 Row Barley, Flaked Barley, C-15

On draft at a fancy pub in Taunton for a truly ridiculous price. Not sure why I paid it. Especially when this is just like every other Trillium IPA…delicious but difficult to discern from each other. Massive hop bomb yet smooth and easy to drink.

Picked up a four pack of cans at Curtis Liquors in Cohasset, Massachusetts for about twenty one dollars. My seventy second brew from these guys. Good, overpriced.

Pours cloudy pale yellow, soft quickly dissipating white head, minimal lacing
Aromas of citrus, stone fruits, pineapple and kind of floral
Taste is peachy followed by citrus and candy, nice layers
Mouthfeel is soft and the body is fairly light, straits out sweet and sticky and finished
slightly bitter
Overall it’s a great balance between sweet and bitter, good layers of flavor and drinks nicely

Beautiful yellow-orange body, deep color and opaque; two-finger thick head, dense and creamy, long-lasting; strings of foam hang down the glass. A near-stunning aroma of fresh citrus and biscuit; fresh cut orange and tangerine; oats. The taste reflects the smell; freshly squeezed orange juice; citrus pith bitterness. Heavy body; dense and velvety texture; spongy; very delicate alcohol dryness offsets the citrus juiciness.
This is a very fine New England style India pale ale; very balanced and nuanced; fresh tasting and smelling. Just a beautiful beer.
ABV: 7%; pouring temperature: 46 °F; canning info: 05/29/24
Source: local purchase (Coaltrain Fine Wine, Craft Beer & Spirits)

Poured to an oversized wine glass. Can says 09/21/20, which means that this was canned on the 21st of September of 2020, resulting in a 7 month old Trillium beer.
A: Body is pretty opaque and strong bright yellow. The head is white and shows pretty good retention.
S: Despite noting that the beer is far from fresh, the aromas are still incredible with notes of pineapple, mango, Citra hops, Mosaic hops and so on.
T: Taste starts off with a orange to tangerine like flavour showing off that the beer is not entirely "fresh", but then moves on to a mild tropical note of pineapple and mango before hitting a grassy and powerful hop tone that's refreshing, pleasant, and surprisingly high for a 7 month old beer.
M: Body is kinda velvety. Carbonation is good. Bitterness is high as it leaves still some hop burn. Alcohol is unnoticed.
O: You don't get disappointed with Trillium beers, never - not even if they are 7 months old.

De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Programando GestorRed. Una IPA cítrica y herbal muy bien hecha, pero nada que justifique el elevado precio al que llega aquí.
