Presenting a gorgeous deep yellow with a hazy glow, Strata Dry Hopped Fort Point offers a vibrant bouquet of fresh fruit. Passion fruit, pithy grapefruit, and peach lead the way, with a subtle dank edge that rounds out the sip with a gentle bitterness. Medium-bodied and refreshingly drinkable, we’re pleased to add Strata to the Fort Point lineup.

16oz canned 7-19-23, opened 8-10-23.
3 finger dense and slightly off white head with outstanding retention.
Orange-gold and opaque body. Sticky, thick lacing.
Heavy tropical aromas - ripe and zesty. Mango nectar.
Zesty tropical fruit - papaya, mango with some grapefruit pith - and a light creamy, slightly doughy malt flavor holding up the hops.
Medium body and carbonation with a soft mouthfeel and low bitterness. Citrus rind bitterness mid-palate. Flavorful finish with a just a hint of sweetness.

Canned on 7/19/2023
A: Pours with a touch of haze, with a few floaties. A dense white head forms immediately, and makes it just a bit hard to pour. Lots of retention, legs of lace are left behind as the foam finally recedes.
S: A generic tropical fruit aroma, and melons. Fruit salad. I'm not the best at picking out individual aromas from these new age hops, but seems fairly standard.
T: That tropical fruit and melon medley again. The hint of something bitter pops up, but doesn't last to the finish. Becomes just sweet and fruity after a while.
M/O: A medium body with low carbonation. Would like a bit more crisp bite, and a longer drier finish. As is, a bit sticky/sweet. I can't say I'm looking to come back to this again, but not hard to drink.
This is right on the boarder of cloying/sweetness for me. Which comes from all the Strata hops of coarse. Some noticeable drying cracker like malts, or more substantial bitterness would help balance this for me. It is also way to expensive to get more than once, and only then just out of curiosity.

Poured on 7/3/2022, from a 16oz can that was purchased at the brewery on 7/2/2022, into a snifter glass.
A: The beer is a hazy deep gold color, with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick but spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains a nice blend of strong grassy and dank hops, juicy citrus and tropical fruits and light caramelized malts.
T: The taste likewise starts out with a nice strong burst of grassy and dank hops bitterness that is quickly followed by juicy and sweet flavors of citrus and tropical fruits. The malt character is on the light side and brings an excellent balance. The after-taste is hoppy and slightly sweet.
M: Smooth and very crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Very tasty, goes down extremely easily, not too filling, good kick, very good representation of style, this is an excellent NE-style hop bomb to pound down for a very long time.

Pours cloudy orange gold color with a 1-2 finger thick beige colored foamy head that faded slowly and left decent spotty lacing. Smells of tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, grapefruit, melon, biscuit, lime, yeast or bread crust, peppery spices and red grapefruit as it fades. It’s a nice balanced nose.
Tastes like it smells with grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, orange peel, lemon/lime soda, pear, lime, biscuit, chalky yeast, toasted grains, peppery spices, pine cones, fresh cut grass and trailing red grapefruit. The citrus hops are mostly lemony with bitter grapefruit flavors that are balanced by the malty backbone. It’s smooth and really easy to drink.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Trillium Brewery in Canton for about seventeen dollars. My forty first brew from these guys. This is good, liked more than the el dorado version.
