bierpop! pours a hazy, deep yellow and wastes no time presenting vibrant notes reminiscent of a pineapple and mango smoothie. The initial burst of tropicality clears the way for supporting aromas of summer picnic watermelon, peach rings, and citrus slushy. A generous portion of flaked wheat lays the groundwork for a fluffy mouthfeel, allowing bierpop! to finish medium-bodied with just a touch of candied sweetness.

L - milky yellow haze in the glass. Fizzy yellow head that almost looks like saliva. Huh.

S - rich, permeating aroma of lemon meringue pie, vanilla, creamsicle, lactose, and yellow cake. Smells like dessert.

T - tart twang up front. Kiwi smoothie vibes along with not-so-subtle candy sweetness. Cream soda and lemon lime Dum Dums. Sour watermelon and grapefruit rind bitterness. Fruity and playful. Lots going on here. Lactosey cereal creaminess demands sip after sip. A touch of dry hop mealiness on the finish with quite a bit of grass.

F - full and satisfying. Bit of extra carbonation that normally puts me off, but it fills me up even further here. Complements the thiqq flavors contained within.

O - lots of weird things happening with this one. Expected a rich, hearty meal with the aroma, but instead got something that's simultaneously sweet, yet tart, and a subtle bitterness pervades throughout to keep you guessing. Neat beer.

More than just a beer, Trillium is giving their hazier New England IPA a pop! Imperial in status, celebrates tropical flavored hops for a beer that has just that extra little...

Pale and matte in a creamy gold hue, bierpop! releases a creamy off-white meringue before capturing the nose with its radiant tropical scent that's backed by citrus, herb, spruce and cereal. That cereal sweetness coats the tongue as its first sip carries impressions of pastry dough, honeysuckle and juicy vanilla-like character.

As the hops unfold on the middle palate, their bold impressions of mango are front and center. With the aid of pineapple, guava, passionfruit and papaya, the pop! certainly favors the tropical side of fruits. However, there's a citrusy backdrop of white grapefruit, orange and lime that support the tropical flavors with an acidic, sherbet-like zing. Trailing into an herbal but smooth bitterness, hints of spruce, green tea, lemon pepper and hemp, the late taste shows its IPA roots.

Medium bodied but creamy, the beer has a snappy and refreshing finish that's remarkably dry for such hazy ale. An extension of fruit is laced with herbal and peppery dryness for a crisp and just off-clean aftertaste, leaving impressions of citronella and fruit smoothie in its wake.

From 8/3/21 so perhaps a bit past it’s prime or just hitting its stride depending on your standards. Standard trillium orange juice backbone. I was expecting something like treehouse super treat what with the candy name. A little candy sugar note in the first few sips but having coated the palate I’m getting a bunch of smoky black tea on the finish. no milk or sugar a nice unexpected tannic thing. Mouthfeel is lacking, head is thin and gone quickly like people complain about but it is still nice. If I remember correctly they had a unique hops for this one, I think the hops has promise but in this application it doesn’t really stand out much from the usual trillium thin orange juice feeling except for the black tea lapsang souchoung finish.

Canned on 08-03-21, thank you PhineasMcClintock for this can.

A - Medium opaque golden orange color with thin white lacing.

S - Dank peach, pineapple, and citrus aroma.

T - Dank pineapple, citrus, and spicy citrus rind dominate this beer from start to finish. There's a slight bit of burn present, was lupulin powder used?

M - Big body, pillowy soft, and slightly chewy (seems to be a recurring nuance with this style of beer).

O - The burn detracts a little from the beer but overall really solid.

Pours a beautiful hazy and glowing yellow, smells like pineapple juice with bits of lemon and orange. Taste follows the nose with strong pineapple and orange and a grassy finish. Light carbonated and super easy drinking. Fantastic beer, get some if you have the chance.

Sweet tropical hoppy, prominent stonefruit, and orange-tangerine citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a tropical hoppy and orange juicy citrus bitter finish. This is more medium-bodied than murky on the palate. This is very tasty and enjoyable to drink!
