Appearance - Pours hazy and mellow orange in color with a white, half finger width head that displays good retention before dying to a thin, consistent layer of suds, thickening into a ring around the edges. Strong lacing, with a thick band running across much of the glass, breaking into lines and some small spotting.
Smell - Passionfruit really catches the nose. Hints of pineapple and citrus.
Taste - Follows the nose. Juicy passionfruit upfront, with a bit of pineapple sitting beneath it. Touches of melon and guava in there. Finish adds a light tangerine character, and it sticks in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Smooth, velvety and creamy texture. Crushable finish.
Overall - The WC version was pretty tasty, but the haze treatment really takes these new hops to another level. So much tropical goodness, that they're basically the perfect hop for hazy IPAs. I look forward to more brews with this HBC 586 hop.

Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, and hint of citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with a juicy and malty, tropical hoppy bitter finish. This is a little thin on the palate and I wanted the hops to shine more than the maltiness...but it is still tasty and enjoyable.
