It’s been a long time since I’ve had a wild fermented ale. Been too long, this beer is amazing. Brett, slight sour, but complex fruit notes balancing with a nice clean finish. ABV is light enough to avoid any burn or booziness. Highly recommend.

Pours a semi hazy golden color. Fizzy head quickly rises to the top, carbonation very audible. The head just as quickly dissipates and settles into a frothy film.
The nose opens very funky, with rustic notes of hay, grass and sharply acidic citrusy tones. Aromas of oak, tea leaves, barnyard, lemon, lime, flowers and sweet cracker.
Taste is ultra sour, funky and utterly mouth puckering, with a sturdy malt base that evokes crackers and sourdough bread. Bright and tangy with notes of white grapefruit, lemon pith, lime and white grape. Notes of oak, dry cider, hay, tea leaves, and floral and peppery spices.
Medium bodied with a bone dry palate and sharp acidity. The finish is nothing short of bone dry. The carbonation is moderate.
This was marvelous! I would have again.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Teku glass. Slightly hazy, light yellow in color. 2 finger bright white head and lacing. Scents of lemons and dry hay, and apricot preserves. Getting more lemon, apricot and other stone fruit on the palate- some very mild oak but not very prominent. Some of that funky mixed fermentation in there too. Apparently the same recipe as Red Sorrel but aged in different barrels. Would be good to try them head to head to better distinguish the differences. From what I remember, I give the edge to Red Sorrel but a good beer nonetheless.

A- 12oz bottle pours into a snifter with a slightly cloudy golden yellow body. A cap forms on the beer to a cm high with decent retention leaving a wide belt around the edges. The lacing is spotty.
S- Bright and pungent mixed fermentation aroma that suggests a moderate sourness. Lactic acid, lemons, must, vinous oak and white grapes, funk and sour stone fruit come to mind. A touch of floral in there as well as some sulfury hints akin to lambic.
T- Stone fruit and sour grapes immediately come to mind and overall it is quite vinous and has a fairly intense sourness reminiscent of sweet tarts. Lemons, oak, hay, ripe apricot is huge here, nectarine, musty grapes and high sourness.
MF- Light bodied with a high level of carbonation. Fairly high level of sourness and a light fluffiness in the body.
Really like the bright apricot note mixed with the level of sourness and the funky ferment.
