Collaboration with Bellwoods Brewery
Pouring a hazy, honey-colored orange, Super Duper Street Shark offers dazzling fruit-forward aromatics. Layered tropical notes of pineapple juice, guava nectar, and mango sorbet are our welcoming first impression. On the palate, a citrus-forward character arises, displaying highlights of zested orange peel and pomelo. Tongue-coating and medium-bodied, Super Duper Street Shark finishes balanced, with moderate, refreshing bitterness.

L - pours a hot, spicy yellow with a frothy white head that loudly simmers away into nothingness. Cold beer poured into a freshly handwashed glass still warm to the touch lets off a nifty steam effect. Glows milky white, like the morning sun.
S - fresh-cut papaya chunks. Grape Juicy Juice and berries. Splash of honey and orange creme candies.
T - oozes that high octane Trillium fire: alcoholic sweetness cutting through a sea of hop puree. Fresh and bitter pink grapefruit, but balanced by semi-sweet berries. Perfect amount of sugariness, bitterness, and herbaceousness. Leaves aggressive hop tingles in the throat that are getting into the
F - next category down here in mouthfeel. Slick to the touch and coats the mouth, yet flirtatiously dances away after each sip, helped in part by the prickly carbonation.
O - now this is classic Trillium. Reminds me of my first Headroom in the depth of flavor, complexity of flavor profile, and even the carbonation that's ever so slightly too aggressive. This one's actually better than Headroom in that regard. Toes that fire line between bitterness and burning, but does it well with confident execution.

Can. Hazy orange juice color.
A few weeks old and it is a bit green still. Very floral and bitter. Has some mango and grapefruit citrus. Maybe some papaya.
Decent, but it should get better in a few weeks.

Disappointing for sure. Trillium isn’t what it used to be, unfortunately.

Canned 9/21/21 and drank on 10/9/21 from a tulip glass. Typical Trillium IPA in appearance - opaque orangish-yellow with quickly receding head and very little lacing. Kind of a greenish tint to this one, which immediately makes me think it’ll be pretty ripe and strong on the hop profile. Juicy tropical fruit on the nose - pineapple and papaya. Lots of bitter flavor notes - orange zest, lemongrass, pine. Noticeably lingering bitterness on the palate. Unfortunately, this one is so strongly hopped, it was a bit too much on the palate with a bit of that alcohol burn at 9%. Maybe it’ll mellow out after a couple more weeks in the fridge.
