Fresh-peeled clementine, tangelo, and candied Meyer lemon notes are complemented by overripe pineapple, mango nectar, and fuzzy peach. Its juice-forward, no doubt; but an underlying ruby red grapefruit bitterness keeps us reaching back for more. Characteristically soft and palate-coating, we hope you enjoy DDH Trailside while exploring the beauty of Blue Hills and beyond.

NO can date
Pours a light fizzy small head with low retention, a bit of lacing, hazy cloudy light pale color
Nose brings juicy citrus, orange, tangerine, a bit of sweet marmalade, some mango, stone fruit, light doughy malt
Taste starts with some green spicy dry hop that brings some bitter astringency even, then lots of citrus, orange peel, clementine, some lemon lime, mango, a bit of grapefruit, lots of pith with the rind and zest, fair doughy malt base, creamy juicy, finishes drier with a lot more green spicy hop
Mouth is med bod, soft juicy, med carb
Overall it would be pretty good without the overpowering green spicy hop that just destroys the taste

Pours like pineapple juice. Small head that fades to a thin raft of bubbles. Smell is muted, but the taste is where this beer shines, with a firm grapefruit bitterness and plenty of citrus fruit. Mouthfeel is a little thin.

Pours a murky opaque yellow orange color - not good looking. Aroma of citrus rind and orange juice. Taste is chalky and I'm not a fan. Coats the mouth in a weird way.

Hazy amber with a pretty, pure white head. Very fragrant: a complex mixture of citrus & hops. Sweet & bitter & maybe a touch tart. Very flavorful: tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple & hops. Slightly thin with plenty of carbonation & the alcohol is well hidden. Overall: mouth watering delicious.

A: Pours a milky murky bright pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + apricot + peach + pale golden yellow + pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense creamy foamy white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + tropical/pineapple + stone fruit/peach hops over the top of just shy of moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + wheat + oat malts and a light amount of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + wheat + oat malts and a light amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + tropical/pineapple + stone fruit/peach hops which imparts a light to moderate amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly leaving lingering citrus + tropical hop flavors.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a nice combination of tropical + citrus + stone fruit hops.

The aroma on this is over the top amazing! Bright and juicy, it's full on citrus. Getting it all, lemon, grapefruit, orange and tangerine. And let's not forget the pine as well. Crisp aromas with a slightly salty backbone.
Bright and bitey in the mouth, citrus and only slightly sweet, with a pine and grapefruit ending.
