This was another winner from Trillium that I traded for with a friend recently! Lots to love here for those into Citra as this was smooth, well-rounded, and subtly sweet. I don't have any ice cream of this sort on hand here but this would easily take the place of that as this was a perfect way to end an early spring day here!
Indeed, this poured like orange juice as it had a lovely look to it, with a thin and bubbly head that quickly and unevenly settled. No lacing was left behind as that was the only drawback to this beer. Orange, tangerine, valencia, and creamsicle were in the nose as there was bitter Citra, orange blossom fruit, and a bit of sherbet on the palate. So much to love here for this having just one hop!
A bit of dankness and lingering orange stuck around in the back as this didn't last in my pint glass for very long. Dated 1/20, there wasn't any sediment at the bottom of the liquid as this held up well over the last three months. This was smooth and it was easy to see how Vitamin Sea had a hand in this collaboration. Now, I'll be on the lookout for theirs brews as well!
