The Rink at 401 Park is a welcomed wintertime addition to the one-acre lawn in front of Trillium Fenway. Soon to be bustling with families, friends, and neighbors eager to enjoy the outdoors year-round, our first Fenway exclusive offering was designed for après-skate enjoyment. Brewed on our 1bbl pilot system located inside our Fenway taproom, Rink pairs two of our most beloved hop varietals in Galaxy and Sabro.
Glowing orange in color, with a soft, moderate haze, we're immediately offered a synthesis of tropical notes. Upfront aromas of bright pineapple and ripe papaya transition to candied peach rings and dried apricot as the beer makes its way across the palate. The mouthfeel is what you've come to expect from a Trillium IPA, medium-bodied, plush, and well-rounded. Finishing dry with a gentle piney bitterness, we're excited to share a rink-side pour with you while it lasts.
Malt: American 2-Row Barley, Crisp Vienna, Rolled Oats
Hops: Galaxy, Sabro

a: super hazy and cloudy matte dark orange color. a touch of almost woody brown and pale yellow with copper in there as well. 1/2 finger, rocky off-white head
s: loads of sweet melon in this one. kiwi, guava and orange juice. mango and pineapple with a hint of bready malts. a little bit of creamsicle at the end as well. nice aroma
t: strawberry kiwi and guava upfront followed by fresh squeezed orange juice. faint orange zest and honeydew. tangerine and big pineapple punch behind those
m: medium mouthfeel with strongly moderate carbonation. more than i would have thought for the style
o: pretty nice NEIPA. juicy and tropical, but i think it's missing that little bit extra to take it to the next level

Had two drafts at Speedwell Tavern in Plymouth, Massachusetts for about ten dollars each. My seventy second brew from these guys. Decent, very dank, lightly carbonated.

A: Pours a murky milky medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate bright yellow + apricot + peach colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/tangerine + tropical/pineapple + tropical/papaya + stone fruit/peach + tropical/passionfruit + gooseberry hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + oat malts with a light amount of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/tangerine + tropical/pineapple + tropical/papaya + stone fruit/peach + tropical/passionfruit + gooseberry hops which imparts a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Moderate amounts of creamy soft/fluffiness mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a creamy soft/fluffy mouthfeel. Enjoyable with juicy hop aromas and much less juicy hop flavors - kind of a hybrid New England IPA + American IPA.

Pours a hazed gold with a pinky of eggshell colored head. Pretty good head retention & lacing
S: Green melons, preaches, faint bready notes & citrus
T: Oranges, green melon, slight dryness & lime up front. Green melon, tangerine & dryness as this beer warms up, a little white grape & pineapple as well, along with dryness. Finishes with green melon, a little grape, & pomelo & just a little dryness
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, good balance
Solid juicy IPA, very easy to drink
