Brewed with 30% wheat, this wintery version of our classic hoppy, pale ale features the use of Cryo Citra in combination with Galaxy to shivering effect. Bright aromatics of overripe mango, juicy grapefruit, and herbal hops flood the nose, while balanced flavors of tropical fruit, lime, and fluffy wheat excite the palate. Refreshingly light bodied with a soft, delicate mouthfeel, Frozen Pier finishes dry with a touch of bitterness.

Solid APA, borders on hazy but great nose & taste. Only flaw is a bit of moderateness on depth but I’d reach for this one out of any top shelf APA line-up.

Milky look (very cloudy) with a white to gold color. Served without a head. No lacing on the glass.
Cherry and blackberry sweetness to the nose. Fresh squeezed orange juice is present in the second whiff. Light yeast and bittering hop in the background.
The taste is a strong departure from the smell. This beer is semi-dry with a near astringent bitter hop finish. Full bodied with a nearly devoid amount of carbonation—a bit like water. The flavor, though, is complex with grapefruit rind and black pepper completing the profile.

16oz can dated 12/18/24.
Pours cloudy yellow with a short-lived head of white. Minimal retention or lacing. White peaches, orange, melon in the nose. Light bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Bright citrus on the palate with zero malt and very dry. Hard peaches, melon rind. Finishes dry with a firm bitterness.

Picked up a four pack of cans at Curtis Liquors in Cohasset, Massachusetts for about eighteen dollars. My seventy fifth brew from these guys. Excellent.

Picked up a 16 oz can from the Blue Door Bottleshop in Hendersonville 1-27-23 for $10. Canned 12-28-22; consumed 1-31-23.
Beer poured a hazy golden orange with a fizzy white head that dissipated quickly.
Nose is wonderful, full of citrus and tropical hops.
Taste is a light malt base that is hopped with orange, mango, and grapefruit. Finishes with a nice touch of citrus rind; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and very refreshing.
Overall a delicious easy drinking APA/SIPA! Nice splurge but Trillium is way too expensive in my neck of the woods!
