For 2023, we resurrected and re-invigorated our 0 IBU recipe for IwanttoBU DIPA with the inclusion of Citra Cryo and Simcoe Cryo to the original hop bill of Citra, Simcoe, and El Dorado. The nose is greeted with notes of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and delicate pine. Flavors of mango juice and ripe pineapples spill onto the palate, complemented with a backsplash orange and grapefruit. The beer finishes delightfully smooth with medium body and low bitterness.

16 oz can dated 03/16/23

Pours opaque golden yellow orange with a dense creamy white foam head. Smells like ripe tropical fruits, fresh citrus, stone fruits, juicy melon, papaya, pineapple, mango, nectarine, orange, grapefruit, hints of caramelized bready malt, with dank resinous earthy herbal floral grassy pine. Tastes super smooth and juicy with fresh melons, papaya, pineapple, mango, nectarine, orange citrus, grapefruit, hints of bready malt, with dank resinous earthy herbal floral grassy pine. Feels medium-full bodied, thick and juicy with creamy smooth moderate carbonation. Overall a really great 0 IBU DIPA.

Poured on 4/2/2023 from a 16oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a hazy deep yellowish gold color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains strong grassy and dank hops, strong juicy citrus and tropical fruit, caramelized malts.

T: The taste likewise starts out with a strong grassy and dank hops bitterness that is quickly followed by a strong juicy citrus and tropical fruit sweetness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings an excellent balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Very crisp and extremely smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean.

O: Very tasty, goes down quite easy, not too filling, strong kick, very good representation of style. This is an excellent DNEIPA to drink for a long time.
