Modest head which settles to rim bubbles and leaves no lace. Brown liquid with light passing through the center. Some haze.
Raisin and prune aroma. Sweet. I also get freshly fallen leaves to the nose. Light fruitcake smells.
High carbonation with a moderate body. Darker and dryer malt flavors. Some alcohol but only with faint Belgian yeast. The finish and aftertaste are bland in comparison with the taste.

11.2 oz bottle - 2024
Pours clear red brown with an off-white foam head. Smells like dark caramels, toffee, molasses, toasty brown sugar, dark amber malts, dried fruit, apricot, fig, date, subtle chocolate char, some spice, with floral earthy herbal grassy hops. Tastes like dark caramels, toffee, molasses, toasty brown sugar, dark amber malts, dried fruit, apricot, fig, dates, mild apple, pear, hint of cherry, orange citrus, subtle chocolate char, some spice, with floral earthy herbal grassy hops. Feels medium plus bodied, creamy and slick with smooth moderate carbonation. Overall a nice dubbel.
