Picked up this 2024 500 ml bottle from the Hot Spot gas station on New Leicester Highway (NC-61) 7-2-25 for $9.97.
Beer poured jet black with a nice tan head with the original pour.
Nose is chocolate forward and not much else.
Taste is a large lightly roasted malt base that combines very nicely with the chocolate and lactose additions. Barrel is not perceptible, attempts to balance, but in the end, this is a chocolate forward sweet finish.
Mouthfeel is perfect! Full bodied, one of the most viscous and smooth beers i have ever had.
Overall, i am purely looking at this for the style and have to say it is really well done. An 8 oz pour would have been perfect given the amount of sugar in this brew!

Pours black and settles onyx black in the glass with a creamy mocha colored head that lingers and provides a nice ring and partial cap on the body of the beer. Beautiful BA imperial stout.
Popping the top immediately renders a boozy note and then the pour heads directly to decadent milk chocolate and rich vanilla aromas that are mouthwatering if you like chocolate sundaes with some booze.
Check.
There’s some booze forward on the taste, but the beer settles quickly into the rich milk chocolate and vanilla flavors before yielding to the barrel again at the back of the palate with a distinct warming note. So delicious.
The mouthfeel is full, rich, and creamy, fitting this beer perfectly. I would love to try this poured over some vanilla ice cream. World class stuff, especially if you like slightly boozy dessert imperial stouts.

500ml bottle
Pours black with a creamy light brown foam head. Smells like chocolate ice cream, vanilla marshmallows, a hint of bourbon oak barrel, dark toasted malts, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, maple, molasses, subtle dried fruit, and mild earthy hops. Tastes like rich dark chocolate ice cream, creamy vanilla, marshmallow, oaky bourbon barrel, dark roasty toasted caramel malts, toffee, brown sugar, maple, molasses, subtle dried fruit, some dark fruits, slight char, and mild earthy hops. Feels medium-full bodied, plush, creamy and soft with smooth moderate low carbonation. Overall a really great barrel aged imperial stout with Madagascar vanilla and milk sugar.
