a: murky yellow hay color with a 1/2 finger white head that fades to a film quickly
s: huge note of banana peel, clove, banana, and pepper. Fruity esters, some malt sweetness, sweet grains, grass, lemongrass, and a big straw note. some pepper spice and that Belgian yeast at the end
t: big punch of straw, banana, clove, and Belgian yeast. Pepper spice, and a huge lemongrass note. hay, sweet grass. big esters in here and some mellow malt sweetness
m: medium-full mouthfeel with strong carbonation that fills the mouth
o: very nice Belgian Strong Ale. Has the classic Belgian notes that are harmonized well. decent complexity but doesn't make you think too hard

Brewers notes: Pronounced notes of white pepper and an estery fruitiness with undertones of clove and herbal hop. With a light-to-medium malty sweetness on the palate, Biere de Noel has a dry finish with a light body

330ml bottle served in a tulip. Pours a lovely golden hue with a translucent clarity and a frothy, four-finger, bright white head. Nose expresses notes of Belgian yeast, coriander, bubblegum and spice. Taste consistent with nose with an herbal bitterness that lingers at the finish. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an overly assertive, almost gassy carbonation. Overall, style insistent and drinkable with a well-hidden abv.

Poured at their Fenway location from a bottle. The liquid is dirty gold with a haze. A small head forms from the gentle pour but it sticks around leaving a few wider streaks and spots.
Lightly sweet with some alcohol warmth. Malty but with some definitive Belgian yeast aromas.
High level of carbonation with a moderate body. Pale malt shows first with a (stronger than the smell) high level of alcohol warmth. The yeast is also present but just a bit muted. The finish brings forward a minor level of hop bitterness. Still the aftertaste is yeasty alcohol.

Pours hazy golden yellow with a large creamy frothy white foam head. Smells like clean lemony citrus, hint of orange peel, ground coriander, peppery spice, rich golden malts, slightly wheaty, some hay, straw, and floral earthy grass. Tastes clean, refreshing and spicy with big black peppercorn notes, some white pepper, clove, subtle banana, orange citrus, lemon, golden wheaty malts, hay, straw, with some floral earthy herbal grass. Feels medium bodied, crisp with smooth moderate carbonation. Overall a nice Biere de Noel.
