Appearance:
The beer pours some light head but that may be because of the growler was a day old. The head lasts a bit even though there is very little of it. The beer itself is a clear amber with a goldish hue.
Smell:
The aroma has an interesting mix of an earthly and slightly mildewy smell with grapefruit. The wheat is clearly present and mixes well with the choice of hops.
Taste:
The wheat taste is much stronger in the taste and gives an earthy and mildew taste throught but the hops dominate the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel:
Very little carbonation with a medium body. However, the beer goes down smoothly.
Overall:
A very good and hoppy wheat ale that is probably better than most that I've had. I'm looking to forward to when Trillium grows to the point where they're distributing their beers through bottles. This one is definitely one of their best beers.
