Poured from 12-ounce can into a straight-sided Oktoberfest mug. Clear deep-amber color, with two fingers of sudsy off-white head. Minimal retention and lacing. Good depth of malty aroma and flavor, with notes of dark bread, a little dried fruit, and grassy and herbal hops. Excellent bitterness, with a clean finish and a slightly spicy hop kick on the palate. This is a good one, and it pairs spectacularly with greasy BBQ ribs and baked beans (and probably bratwurst, too). Prost!

Canned 7/19/21
Bright golden amber tone with sharp clarity, a thin layer of foam that fades quickly to a thin skim with no lacing.
Aroma of Munich malt, Grape Nuts barley cereal.
Tastes malt forward and nutty with a light hop bitterness in the aftertaste.
A bit twangy and astringent, well carbed but it mellows out with a couple vigorous swirls.
Overall this is ok, but i'm wishing I got a single instead of a sixer.
Edit: After revisiting, the beer seemed lighter and easy drinking with more apple esters. Buyer's remorse rescinded.
