Don't even know what to say about this one really, it came from a sketchy liquor store on the west side. Apparently it's only available in LA and Chicago, sounds like Minhas is trying to boost their street cred... they should hire Riff Raff to do a promo video.
Poured into a small taster glass out of the freezer, it pours a pale anemic gold, charged with rapid carbonation, leaving behind a little bit of lace in the glass. Compact white cap of foam on a second pour.
Smells pretty typical, sweet soggy grains, a touch metallic, though not offensive really.
The taste is a surprise. Nutty malt and fruity yeast notes betray it's other pedestrian attributes. Banana and apple yeast esters, softer feel like a hefeweizen. Creamy and substantial feel, dry finish that is surprisingly clean. What the shit? They must really be honing their craft up there in Monroe. Just might be the most passable malt liquor I've ever had. Feels weird saying that, but it's true.
