I got a 30pck of this beer from the Woodman's in Onalaska, Wisconsin just outside of La Crosse. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had faint white wine and grain fragrance. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is an "ok" beer.

Look : I drank this out of a can but when I peered in the can, it shone in typical beer golden amber style coloring with foaming bubbles at the top, pretty much typical light lager affair.

Smell : Honestly the smell was pretty dreadful but a little sweet that's the only thing saving it from a 1.

Taste : Taste doesn't suck or is terrible and has more taste compared to stuff like Natural Light and other light beers I've tried so far. The sweet taste is nice but isn't best as it tastes bitter almost dare I say soap and crack like.

Overall : Like most on this page, I find this beer pretty bad and lacking in taste that other cheap beer have. I'd much rathe I'll be honest I love natural light cause it's easy tasting. This however just leaves a negative and unappealing taste on the mouth.

I drink a lot of light beer and am always on the lookout for new ones that I haven't tried. Generally, mass-produced, adjunct light beers are pretty standard and as such there's not much to say about them. They're great for what they provide: a refreshing hit of beer.

This one, unfortunately, is one of the worst beers I've ever tasted. It looks like a light lager, fine. It smells a little lemony and nutty.

And then you sip it, and the universe collapses in on itself. How can something be so sickly and so acrid at the same time? How can each tiny taste be simultaneously anonymous and all-consumingly disgusting?

I actually drank a few sips to make sure I wasn't going crazy or had somehow soiled my palate with dinner, then I went to brush my teeth. I let that settle, then rinsed my mouth with salt water. Then went back to the beer. Anything to give this a fair shot. I don't *want* to dislike it - I paid for it, after all. But no. It's even worse with a blank slate. They've alchemized the smell of overboiled brassica and put it in a light beer.

The mouthfeel doesn't matter at this point. Three quarters of the can is going down the drain, into which I almost want to pour perfume and holy water by way of atonement.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a very off papery and metallic smell mixed with some corn and a touch of caramel. Mixed with these is a solvent like aroma. Not very pleasant…
Taste – The taste begins with an odd blend of cracker malt and some metallic and corn syrup tastes that has this almost solvent like flavor. The odd off taste gets stronger as the taste advances and is joined by a bit of soapy like taste, leaving one with a rather bad, almost toxic like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that is slightly higher. Very appropriate for the style as it does not accentuate the bad flavors of the brew.
Overall – This is pretty bad.. A no go in my book….

500ml can purchased at an H-E-B in Austin, Texas.

Shallow simple neutral fare. Classic budget lager taste - 6-row barley, cheap grassy hops, a hint of corn adjunct.

Not unrefreshing. Light-bodied. Smooth. Wet. Thin. Weak.

Drinkable for what it is, and I've definitely had worse. I'd sooner reach for Frio 6.0, Ballantine XXX, or Trader Joe's Simpler Times at this price, but it's by no means an awful brew even if it might be a bit insipid in comparison to most microbrews.

Poured into my Hacker-Pschorr mug.

Let me be very clear here: I am not a beer snob. I drink adjunct lagers - preferably lower end adjunct lagers - all the time. I'm rating this according to style.

Look: The overwhelming best attribute -- The body actually looks like beer. It's golden in color with a lot of rising bubbles. The head is pure white and recedes to a light film. No lacing whatsoever. So far, so good. I must admit after the second beer in the same mug, the head disappears in a second leaving no film even, which made me downgrade the score.

Aroma: Have you ever smelled soggy, sugary cereal that's been sitting in tepid milk for two hours? That, blended with nail polish.

Taste: Nail polish, paint thinner, and other toxins blend together up front, while a silky-smooth soggy breakfast cereal malt bill carries the rest of this "brew" ... The finish is pleasantly invisible, for a while. By the end of the beer you may or may not taste stewed cabbage in the back of your throat.

Mouthfeel: Light, dry, and harsh. But thinner than malt liquor. If that makes sense.

Overall: There are no cheap beers that I have consumed nastier or more toxic tasting than this.

Appearance: Clear, light golden in color, with profuse, fast-rising carbonation, and thin, irregular lacing, which rings the glass walls. The head is snow-white and rather large, but it soon fades to a scattering of foam.

Aroma: Grainy, cereal-like malt and mineral notes are prominent in the aroma, there are also mild grassy and herbal hops.

Taste: The taste begins with faint pale malt, some cereal flavors, somewhat like corn flakes, and herbal and grassy hops. As the taste progresses, the hops rise a bit, and bring the taste to an orderly close.

Mouth feel: A bit thin, with slightly sharp carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: Really not that bad at $3.99 for a six-pack of sixteen ounce cans. This would be a very decent lawnmower beer. Its not craft beer, but you already knew that. Its fine for what it is.

Presentation: Packaged in a standard sixteen-ounce aluminum can, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.
