A hint of bitterness and that dark flavor that is so often a knife-edge between good and bad. In this case the edge tilts toward the good, though not the spectacular. 2010/08/18

This beer was given to me by Minhas at the end of their brewery tour. Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is nutty, malty. Taste is dark breads, nutty, tasty. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is one of the better beers I have had from this brewery.

A bit on the sweet side but a very tasty Bock, good malty example of the style.

Pours a dark red, almost brown with a decent off-white head that dissipates quickly. Has a sweet malty smell, with faint Carmel. I detect a slight cherry smell. A sweet front end that transitions into malt. A funky bad back end that hangs around. Not much happening. Just not very good.

This beer poured out as a clear looking brown color with a light tan head on top. The head and retention on this beer were actually pretty impressive. There was even some lacing on this beer, I was surprised. The smell of the beer was decent, not too much in the way of hops, mostly just a malt aroma, kind of sweet smelling. The taste was pretty god I though, it was sweet but had a subtle chocolate flavor in there. It doesn't really fit the style too much but still I was impressed with the finish on this one at least. The mouthfeel is light, decently carbonated and easy to drink. Overall it's one of the better beers coming out of Minhas.

Pretty disappointing beer in its style. The best score was the color. A deep clear red brown. Tan bubbly head, little lacing.
The smell is of malt and sugar.
The taste is following the smell. Not much else, far to sweet and sugary.
Will not buy it again.

Dark reddish brown, good initial head that disappears quickly with no trace.
Vague nutty and corn scent.
Cola, caramel, corn, sugar, with a finish of...cigarette smoke. Cloying.
Watery and flat as all get out.
Not impressed. Mouthfeel needs a serious boost, and the flavors seem fake.
