Received a can from a friend who over bought and was giving them away on 12-2-22. Canning date of 23_145_21; consumed 5-30-23.
Beer poured watery brown with an okay white head.
Nose has hints of toasted malts and burned leaf tobacco.
Taste is a toasted malt base that comes across watered down that has an amount of hopping that balances the sweetness.
Mouthfeel is thin and watered down.
Overall not a good example of an English Brown, dissapointing.

Slightly hazy medium brown color with a decent off white head that doesn't last.
The aroma is mild, caramel malt, slight hint of herbal hops.
The taste is also mild caramel malt, a bit watery and sweet but not terrible.
The body is light/medium, decent carbonation, very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a fairly decent brew, taste is acceptable, fairly refreshing. Goes pretty well with most food.

12 oz can served in a Belgian snifter.
Appearance. Clear reddish-amber colored body with a good off-white head.
A mix of appealing malts, earthy hops, and some fainter off notes. The flavor follows but is less harmonious and has more obvious off notes.

Poured from a 12oz can...Oh boy here we go
On the pour almost 2 fingers of thick off white head on a light brown body. Slight Chill haze, decent fine carbonation.
The aroma is better than expected, and actually comes off as an English ale with some caramel malt. Still there's a cheap beer funk to it. Slight English hops.
A corniness definitely comes through and the sweetness gets a bit cloying, not as bad as some of the other advent beers, but still not the greatest. There is actually some maltiness that comes through on the finish.
The feel actually matches the taste and aroma, while still being drinkable. Big enough without being super syrupy. Still though the finish gets a bit cloying with mouth-coating maltiness.
Overall this one was a smidge past half decent, so maybe the best of the bunch so far. The flavors actually sorta work here, and the yeast is finally on style, and actual real maltiness comes through.

It's ok but feels unfinished, a bit watery and the malt / caramel flavors are weak. Bitterness is good though. So it is not bad, just very not exciting.
