This was nice. The peanut better flavor was not overwhelming, this was on the sweet side but I thought that was ok with some bitterness. Quite dark, medium body, moderate carbonation. This was pleasant to drink.

Appearance: Presents such a dark, opaque amber that it may as well be black, offering only deep ruby highlights before a strong light10 a01t th0e g01las01s stem. A modest light tan head accompanies, slight, though with good persistence. Thick and unbroken, fine-beaded lacing adorn the glass wall.
Aroma: The peanut butter notes are surprisingly prominent, along with milk chocolate, cold coffee, cocktail peanuts and a little cane sugar.
Taste: At the beginning of the taste, there is a wave of roasted peanuts and bitter cocoa. As the taste progresses, there are notes of roasted malt and bitter coffee and an underlying mild molasses-like sweetness,. Finishes with a moderate burnt malt note and a brief surge of bittersweet chocolate.
Mouth feel: Soft and quite full, pleasant, with a little sharp carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Very solid and drinkable, well-made.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

12 oz can served in a Belgian snifter.
Typical appearance for a porter, with dark body that's nearly black and opaque. The head has about average retention, at best. There's an odd but not unpleasant note in the aroma.
Flavor. Mildly bitter with plenty of roasted peanut along with hints of peanuts shells, coffee, and dark roasted grains. Mostly good but master by off notes that are less pleasant and more obvious than in the aroma.

Dark brown color with a modest tan head and some decent lacing.
The aroma is peanut butter and sweet roasted malt.
The taste is sweet roasted malt, some burnt toast and peanut butter, a bit syrupy sweet, drying out a bit in the finish.
The body is medium, moderate carbonation, fairly smooth and drinkable.
Altogether, this is a decent porter, although a bit sweet. The peanut butter taste is a bit milder than the aroma, which is actually probably for the best.

Poured from a 12oz can
On the pour, one finger of khaki head formed in a dark, nearly black, hazy brown. Lacing forms but not amazingly.
Aroma is strange, not so much in a bad way, but its almost pleasant. The artificial flavoring imparts a nearly raw malt like nuttiness to the aroma, with a cereal sweetness in the back. Very different than their pale beers which all have the same "off aroma" with slight differences. Slight hint of candy like artificial peanut.
Taste isn't as good as the smell. A syrupy sweetness, likely from malt syrup lingers and there is nothing to balance. The Peanut butter flavor itself isnt quite sweet, but the finish is definitely unsweetened Reece's. Looses the barley like qualities with just a slight amount of roasty flavor present, mostly coming off as chocolate. I think this is heavily leaning on the nutty flavor they added.
Feel is drinkable and not too syrupy, especially being a porter. There is a semi dry finish, but it hangs around. Somehow this is more drinkable than the pilsner.
Overall I'm surprised that this is honestly one of the best beers so far. It isn't insanely overwhelming and it seems the extra flavors have covered up whatever the yeast problem is over at Minhas.
